Days need to be 50 hours long...
Feb. 11th, 2005 09:23 amThings have been crazy, and it's not helping that I've gotten about 4 hours of sleep a night, every night this week. I'm going to either fall over dead or explode before too much longer. Or both! *KABOOM!* ~Thistle-bits flutter down all over~
I've not mentioned Neopets in a long while (mostly because I'm semi-bored with the place), but my lab pet has been doing interesting things. He had turned into star-colored, which was very pretty, but now he's the rare Maraquan colored Gelert. Rare or not, that's just a horrible looking thing. Why yes, I do want a pink and purple dog-octopus thing. It's like something out of a bad x-rated anime movie!
FFXI: *runs around, pulling his hair out* Craziness. Stress. Insanity. Rush, rush, rush!
I found a new niche in the market to take advantage of, so Fishingbot is now bazaaring overnight and while I'm at work. The good news this morning: He sold out his bazaar (about 12K profit overnight). The bad news? I had to restock him this morning. Move 30 stacks of stuff between mules (cities). When I only have about 20-30 free minutes in the morning. Insanity.
Probably because of the full moon last night, there were tons of moat carp for sale at 4K. Got like... 30? 40? stacks of them? Too many, but the sooner I get this darned quest done with, the sooner I can ignore carps and stop collecting them. About a third of the way finished; about 3300 turned in as of this morning.
Prom Dem tonight. Rarr! Third of three runs! Then we'll be done with it and able to visit new places! :D And on top of that, I'll be able to sell a ton of stuff and free up some space (all the potions, other meds, level 30 armor/weapon...). I'd like to start working on the ZM or CoP missions next, but I strongly suspect I'm too low level for them.
At least I'm not the only one in my static who will need things like missions and Genkai and such. Ceh and I are both in the group as our highest level jobs, so we'll both need those things. I'd hate to have to find help with them if it were only for me. (So excited that my first AF is soon. And it's killing a Yag, too! How fitting is that?)
I have a ton of info on Sandy quests printed out. Soon (tomorrow?) I'm going to run Fishingbot through them to try to get his fame up. (Money is too much of an issue right now for me to buy piles of stuff for him to turn in in those repeating quests.) I won't mind (too much) doing the same for Chaser in Bastok, but Kat in Windy is screwed. No way I'm dealing with Windy quests just for her fame (darned city, way too big to run around in). When Bastok is in first, I'll do the turn-in items for her fame. (Assuming money is okay by then.)
There's a new moon way early tomorrow morning. I'm semi-intending to craft some Seer's stuff then. I really don't want to (hate having to deal with selling it and staying in Jeuno and stuff, plus space is still a giant issue), but I do need the money, so I probably will. Sandy is in first this week, so I really should make tons of linen tomorrow while I can still easily get flax flowers...
I swear, this game would be so much easier if I didn't have to work a job. Bah.

Date: 2005-02-11 05:37 pm (UTC)National story line:
5.1 is a lvl 50 capped battle (you'll want to be at least 48~ for this if you want to survive, else others could drag you through it, but that's not much fun.)
5.2 is an uncapped battle, but everyone in the party should be 58+.
6.1~9 for most nations can be done by parties/alliances of people 60-65~.
9-end usually requires party / alliances of 70.
Zilart:
You have to have 5.2 completed before you can even start it.
ZM1 - 3 are running around getting cutscenes.
ZM4 is an uncapped battle that is best done with a party of 60~.
ZM5 is 4 uncapped battles best done with an alliance of 60s or party of 70s.
ZM8 is really the hard one from what I hear, party of 70s plz.
CoP:
(I'm still figuring out the number scheme for these, so bear with me.)
The next mission after the Crags is level 40 capped. You can do the battle with an alliance, or a competent single party can do it.
The next mission after that is in a level 40 cap area, but you enter a BCNM for the fight. Job choice seems more important to this one's success (just like Promy's require a solid mix of jobs.)
And I dunno what's after that :3
As for your AF1, wooty! Grab me when you're ready to go. Yagudo cursing is a way of life :3
And don't feel bad that you need your G1 items. We *all* need(ed) those at some point. I'm hoping to take QQ, Yosa, and Al to get theirs on Sunday. I'd offer to take you as well, but at 37 you're really too far under level for the areas and I'd feel terrible if you got squished >.<; (B'sides it'd be better if you contributed to getting the items rather than let the scary MNK get them for you ;)

Eek, no worries at all! I have plenty of time still, and since both Ceh and I will need them, I suspect she and I will be doing it together (hubba, hubba)! Thanks though!

Date: 2005-02-11 05:55 pm (UTC)Also, re Genkai: Trust me, where we're leveling at will give us one of the items already. We're still too low for said critters, and really, it should be done as a side project than leveling on them (they're fungars, so they have some /very/ nasty AoE effects. x_x;) Besides, two people means a /lot/ less trouble on G1. Two of the items /suck/ due to a poor drop rate... the less we have to do, the better. :3

Date: 2005-02-11 06:04 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's why I want to get it done. Once it's finished, I never have to think about it again! And yay Woodworking Ead! It'd be cool if I could get it in time that you could skill on fixing it. :)
Genkai: Woo!
