Sunday night: 4 hours of sleep.
Last night: 2 hours of sleep.

Two nights don't even make one good night of sleep.

Zzzzzzzzzz

Doesn't help that what little sleep I'm getting is full of nightmares. (What the heck is happening in my head lately?) I think I'll take some OTC sleep med tonight -- if nothing else, they suppress your REM sleep. That'll mean sleep is less restful, but hey, fewer nightmares!

Anyway. I finished the last Warrior book in the series. The ending was okay. Could have been better, could have been a lot worse. I'm glad that Hyper and other folks liked the series so much, but I wonder why it did little but annoy me. (And why, if that's the case, that I'm wondering what her next series set in the same world will be about.)

FFXI was busy last night. Harvesting wasn't a good idea. I might have broke even on the sickles I had to buy (assuming I sell the unused ones off), but I could have made a ton more money if I had just farmed bees. (But then Chip arrived in the same place and was farming them as well, so I sort of felt bad about continuing to do it.)

After that I went fishing on the ferry, which I've only done once since the change in the whole fishing system. The controller helped some, but my arm was still hurting by the time I was done. (But not screaming in pain, as it had when I was using the keyboard to fish.) Caught some odd and interesting fish (none of which vendored for much), and got .2 of skill. Have a few fish to send through the AH (stack of bluefin, 5 or 6 ladies), so hopefully they'll be worth more.

One day I'll get myself into the habit of picking up the Eco quest on Sunday, that way I won't have to stress myself out trying to get to Windy before Eco on Tuesday. (If I had the quest, I could just outpost teleport from Sandy and be done with it.) Before work this morning I had enough time to get myself onto the airship in Sandy, and then had to leave. At lunchtime I'll move myself from Jeuno to ... oh hell. Grrrrrr. Leaving myself logged on to move to Jeuno means that I didn't switch and put my bazaaring mule on. Sigh. I'm an idiot. Anyway, at lunchtime I'll finish the move from Jeuno onto the airship to Windy, then when I return from work tonight I'll be in Windy and can get the quest. If only I'd get the quest on Sunday, I wouldn't have to deal with all this effort to get there on time.

I'm too tired to deal with all of this. I'm endlessly hungry, too. Over the weekend I can eat one meal in the day and not even feel hungry, but at work I want to eat all the time. Sigh.

I'm just way too tired for this.

I'm actually wondering why you went to the trouble of finishing the books if they were so bad. And they do sound fairly not-good. Then again, between the books, your job, and the Japanese candy, you do seem a glutton for punishment.

That's the thing that makes no sense, yeah. The only answer I could give (to you and to myself) was "I wanted to find out what happens next". Even now that this series is over, I'm curious about the next one.

I don't understand how that works: The characters are shallow, the "logic" of the book is MIA, 99.9999% of the plot was no surprise... yet I still want to know more.

I have stopped reading other books because they're bad, so there must be something different about these...
