The weekend and FFXI and stuff, oh my!

thistlechaserThe surprising shock of the morning: Though it wasn't the right day to weigh myself, I hopped on the scale just to see how things were going. It said I had lost 16 pounds since Friday morning! *boggle* I figured that HAD to be wrong (how could one lose 16 pounds in two days without cutting off a limb?) so I checked again and it was. :P Bah.
The weather was so nice this weekend! I opened the windows and did tons of cleaning. I bought one of these cool new high-tech Swiffer dusters and loved it to death! It made dusting fun! It comes with a handle you can make so many different lengths and angles, I dusted anything and everything within reach! (My cat was less than amused as I ran it over her.)
FFXI: Such a busy weekend, and more busy-ness to come!
On Saturday I got alchemy up to 60. I was going to take it further (through all the post-60 levels I have left which aren't used up by leather), but then I sat down and thought about it: At alchemy 60 I can do everything I want. Make the meds I need, make powder/oil, HQ beeswax and animal glue... so what would be the purpose of taking it to 74? My rate of HQing the wax and glue would not go up, so... As much as I enjoy alchemy, I decided to stop there.
Now I'm going to take woodworking to 60. :D That should be even more profitable than alchemy was, and alchemy was damned profitable. (I can make all the arrow/bolt heads and fletchings I need, and farm most of the stuff for them, so!)
I'm considering finishing taking boneworking to 60 (just 10 more levels), just so my bazaar comment can be a lot neater. "Alchemy, woodworking, bonecrafting: 60" instead of "Alchemy60 woodworking60 bonecrafting51". Hm. Should probably do the same for cooking then, too. It needs less than 10 levels to hit 60...
Sunday we finally got the static back together and leveled! After three weeks of not leveling! And other than having a tank who sucked more than any one person should be able to suck, it went well. We all leveled to 48, and some of us are close to 49! But really, when I say the tank sucked, I mean he really, really sucked. We were all saying how much we missed Waru. We couldn't even understand what he was saying half the time. This comment about Xal:

But poor typing was hardly his worst fault. He just sucked as a tank. Ead came close to dying just way too many times! (lolpld says, "oh i have cover?") He had no clue how the most basic things in the game worked (juices, keys, etc), and was just so clueless and sucky and made our brains hurt.
Would Waru or some other Japanese-understander tell me what this fellow said to me?
He had a really odd looking sword, so I wanted to ask if I could /check him, so I /tell'ed him with "English?" through the auto-translator. He replied with that. Bah. Wouldn't the usual thing to reply back using the translator and say "I don't speak any English"? So I replied with "Gomen. (I don't speak any Japanese.) (Goodbye.)" with the translator. But I get a feeling he was saying something like "You idiot! English insults me! Stop talking to me and go away!"
There are so many upcoming FFXI events, I'm worried I'm going to forget something!
* Hm, I don't see a time/date in Niala's post, but I thought we were going to kill the antlion for pre-CoP 3-5 stuff tonight? I'm ready to go if we are.
* Tomorrow is Eco. Have the quest picked up. (Whew!)
* The 14th of this month is Beanie's Castle Oz/tax event thingie.
* The 22nd is CoP 3-5.
We need to get more grey chips before the 22nd (must do that soon! It's only 11 days away!). I should probably try to get my fomor hate totally gone before then, but that's slow going. I think I need like 30 more kills or something, and each one takes me a good number of minutes and risk of death (they're still EP, usually EP++ to me at 48).

I can pop off nearly 500 pts of damage with Niala tanking, and the mob won't bat an eye my way. x_x Yesterday made me miss Waru something fierce.
Here's to hoping Ashn works out... and I think he will. ^^

What the heck the guy's talking about is anyone's guess. Maybe it was a mistell to you. He could have just pressed ctrl+r and not noticed your tell to him and that your name showed up as who his tell was going to.
