Well, I did it. Silly me, but... I did it. Assuming LJ continues to exist in the next few years, I suppose I'll keep up with my journal here, so I jumped in on the permanent account bandwagon. And hey, now I have even more right to bitch when the site goes down!

What the heck am I going to do with 100 icons? I mostly just use this single one. :P I like the idea of never having to renew though. That's one less thing I have to try to remember, thus worth the money. (Yeah, I know they send you reminder emails and such, but I like keeping track of these things in my head, too.) Let's just hope that LJ continues to exist over the next few years...

While buying things, I decided to register Fraps. (As opposed to Faps, which I keep typing it as.) I want to be able to take movies in-game, even though I know nearly no music at all, so finding some sort of music to pair with the video will be a massive challenge. Maybe I'll just let it record the game's default music...

When you're using Fraps... make sure you set the record keys some where out of the place... I recently ended up with about 40 gigs worth of video of my Saturday in game ¬¬;

Yay for permanent! I've had my LJ for 4+ years, and seeing as they're doing well, I don't see LJ disappearing all that soon.

Ha ha. If I could, I would! I just uploaded all the old icons I still like and I'm only at 40/100. I feel like I'm wasting space! I need to make 60 new icons, stat!

For Fraps: A good record key, I've found, is F11. I have F12 as my screenshot key. The only time these are really used are in alliances, I've found (F11 and F12 target the leaders of your allied parties, IIRC), so they're out of the way enough that you won't hit them, but are right there when you need to record. :)

And I need to register Fraps, too. The newest update has *much* improved video quality over my pirated version...

And if you need music (mostly techno! xD;) I can hook you up. :)

I'm leaving my screenshotting through clipper (it's what I've been using all along). I figured F12 would be a good recording key -- far enough away from stuff to keep it from being hit too much.
