Edit: Ack! I only just heard what happened in London! (Yes, some days I do get all my news from my flist...) Many snugs to everyone over there! Stay safe! We're thinking of you!
Dear terrorists: If you attack us, the darned "war on terror" will never end! Leave us alone and maybe we can convince the more war-minded of our side to leave you alone, too. Deal?

Second verse: Worse than the first!
Sleeping was odd last night. Tired though I was, my mind didn't want to stay asleep. Oh, we could fall asleep okay, but stay asleep? No way! Cat turns over: SNAP FULLY AWAKE! Car starts in the parking lot? AWAKE AWAKE AWAKE! The smallest little noises (really, as quiet as someone walking on the sidewalk outside my window) caused me to fully and totally wake up. Bah. I swear, I didn't get more than three hours sleep total last night.
So tired, so tired. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
FFXI: I had quite the efficient night last night. Odd though it may sound, I think I like efficient nights better than I do fun nights.
I started with a trip to Ordelle "Gods above, these stairs suck!" Caves to farm vines to make hi-pots with. I really only needed 15 or so of them, but almost no one else was farming them and the battles were quite a bit more challenging than my usual farming, so I stayed till my bag was full. (Morbol > DRK. Man, those things hit fast and pretty hard! It was getting 2-4 (and more often 3-4) shots in for every one of mine! Unlike when I usually farm, I had to really rely on my magic as well as just smacking them around. I actually needed to use my 2 hour at one point!)
Not that I was really trying for it, but I missed Stroper Chyme three times -- once he had even popped next to me (within arm's reach!!) while I was resting, but I was counting vines so I totally missed him. Heh. But really, I was there for vines, so I wasn't too upset. (I did get to see Dress for the first time, and I'm certain that "warping within the zone" thing wasn't fixed -- I saw it happening last night. I also saw the Chyme campers walking through solid walls. Not good!)
So once done farming, I made hi-pots. 30+ of them! I lost two vines to failed synths, but as I'm out of room to store things, that didn't even make me frown. It's very very very nice to have all these made; a hi-pot costs 3K (or more now?) to buy, but I made them for under 300 each. (I had even gotten a couple water eles, so I had the crystals free, too!)
After making the hi-pots I took advantage of the new moon and processed the rest of the bast parchment I had on hand. I ended up with 5745753fgt43fd375072 stacks of shihei! As it sells for 7-8K a stack, this made me quite happy.
Oh yeah, while in Ordelle "whoever designed this zone needs to be shot" Caves I did part two of opening the PLD quest -- the only advanced job I haven't opened yet. I might finish it tonight, even though the idea of going back into Davoi makes me skittish. I swear, every time I see an orc now I feel like geezards are lurking around a corner, just waiting to leap out and aggro me to death. Darned geezards! One day I'll go back to kill you all! ...then you'll all link across the zone and kill me. Okay, maybe I need to rethink this plan.

I noticed there was another update this morning when I briefly logged in, so maybe that no clipping/teleporting BS will be fixed finally, we can hope, right?
I'm glad you had a good night on FF. :) That rules, and making teh_big_gilzorz rules too! :)
And--
DEATH TO ALL GEEZARDS! Rar!!

Date: 2005-07-07 05:39 pm (UTC)True, but to be fair: Do we? Of course killing innocent people is wrong, but both sides are doing it. I know it's not a realistic thing to expect, but I wish everyone could just leave everyone else alone...

Another one? Huh! Good, I hope they did fix things.
DEATH TO ALL GEEZARDS! Rar!!

Date: 2005-07-07 07:06 pm (UTC)I'm not saying that we're shining paragons of virtue; I'm sure there are many issues, but on the whole I'd rather try us than a terrorist.

Yeah. I hope so too. People that cheat at FFXI make me wish I could get away with PKing them. And I /hate/ PK! Hate it with a hatey-hate. It reminds me of the long ago days that I tried to play Diablo on Battle.net. Guh was that a disgusting mess. I once had someone kill me in town, with a macro. In /town/. So...I got my own cheater tool, not to make dups of items, not even to buff myself, strictly so I could look at other people's stats to see if they were cheaters. Sad isn't it? I'd get people hanging out in a dungeon begging for help...then look at them with ALL the most buff items you could have. It was really sad. They'd typically seed the upper part of the level with tons of stacks of gold, which I'd take before letting them know I knew they were cheating. They'd call me a dirty haxxor...and then I'd leave. :) Ah. Fun.
I reiterate: DEATH TO ALL GEEZARDS! Rar!!

Hee! Now, see, if they had really wanted to spread panic, they should have stolen all the tea!
