Bedtime for Thistles...

About 270 pages into HBP. Up to chapter 14.



Chapter 13 (The Secret Riddle) is the first chapter I really, really liked. Suddenly Voldemort is an interesting character to me! Quite a nice little psychopath in the works there. No connection to other people, no guilt for hurting them, no problem with using them... Mmmm.



Eh, okay, the cut bit is shorter than I thought it would be, but I should have been in bed a half hour ago. That's it reading for tonight; I'll continue reading it tomorrow (around FFXI stuff -- Sunday is a busy FFXI day), and likely finish it on Monday.

Still not loving the book to death (the darned thing reads like not-outstanding fanfic; if it wasn't canon, I would have stopped reading long ago), but liking it well enough to have spent much of the day reading it.

I also loved child psychopath Tom Riddle... and look forward to hearing what you thought about the rest of it. (My incoherent reactions are on my LJ, but are way spoilery for the end.)

I don't think I saw another comment, but no worries! I read every spoiler I could find before the book came out, so I know everything that's going to happen. :)
