Still reading HBP. So annoying that I couldn't read most of my flist this morning because I haven't finished the book yet. (I read every spoiler I could get my hands on before the book came out, I know all the big events still to come, so why don't I want to see them now?) I'm in chapter 21 right now, page 481.

Work was as bad as I expected it to be. Worst day I've had in a long time. Week will be at least as bad. Life sucks.

Wish FFXI was up right now. I'd really, really, really like to do some mindless farming. Nothing like killing defenseless dhalmels to put me in a better mood...

On the money end of FFXI, I'm thinking of saving for something more useful than a sniper's +1. Maybe a Hauby +1? Those are much much more (12 million, I think? Just based on the one I spotted in a bazaar). *looks Hauberk +1 up* Only +12 attack, +12 acc, str +6, and dex +6 over the NQ's +10 attack, +10 acc, str +5, and dex +5 (level 69). Mumble. On the HQ, the str and dex would add another 3 points onto the acc and att. +15 att and +15 acc, +12 to both for the NQ. Worth 12M? ...why is this so darned complex?

Mumble. I need to go eat. Damned work, I didn't get breakfast or lunch today.

I really don't see the point in Snipers +1 to tell you the truth, and barely the point in NQ Snipers. I would recomend Hauby +1 though, if you have money to burn. Or just buy equipment you'll need in later levels. (Balmung, Thick gear +1, +5 str rings?)

To me, at least the NQ Sniper's is necessary. Would you believe that, as high-50s DRK, I still miss bunnies in the newbie zone way way too often without them? It's actually funny! And embarrassing! :) But yeah, the HQ version seems not to be worth it, especially since they're nearly half the cost of a Hauby +1.

And yeah, I was pondering Thick +1 stuff... need to check into the stats for that.

Not a bad DRK but having GS leveled at 66 will make you a real powerhouse. I've seen DRKs close light skillchains at the begining of a fight with spinning slash and take out the mob before the BLM can MB. Its simply put, fucking amazing. Balins Sword is also something to think about. While your at it, grab a bloodsword and dainsleif and sub NIN. I know a 74 drk who does this while LFP and can solo DC-EMs. ;)

Currently I'm going for Armada pieces, and the worse part is that they're rare/ex items so all that gil is lost(is it if you're happy with it?). I'd kill for a cursed hauberk-1 but it doesn't even exist in our server D; Luckily, I managed to get all the pieces of Armada I wanted, hands, legs, and feet(already found someone with them, just need a small favor in order to get them.) I'd show you my eq but ffxi is down.

Maybe something like spectacles or a peacock charm (assuming you don't already have those)? That would add significant acc+ and they're definitely itams that I'm considering selling my body for. xD Of course you wouldn't get att+ from them, but aren't there a lot of things a DRK can get att+ from?
