{Dance} {Dance} {Reverberation} (FFXI, anime)

Yay! Happy day! Though this is the second day in a row where I had >5 hours sleep, I'm bouncy! And happy!

FFXI was great last night, one of those nights where I feel like I really accomplished something. I went into the Maze and dug for silica! Yay! I got about one piece per hour, so it took a darned long time, but I ended up with enough to make my glass! Then I made my goldfish tank!

Swim, little fishies! Swim in your tank! Of course you can't see in the screenshot, but the fish actually swim around! And bubbles move! And it's so cool! Yay!

Luckily the night wasn't a total waste (making money-wise). I snagged a bunch of eles while digging, and dug up a few nifty things. So I got my tank made AND made some cash! Yay! But I really need to farm soon. Like, tomorrow. (Tonight's busy with Eco and killing NM stuff.) Still need 2.5 million before I can even start looking for a hauby +1. (I feel like I should have one of those progress bar things that people have in their LJs. "Days till my birthday!", "Days until my baby is born!". I could have "Gil needed before I can start looking!")

The more I see of Bleach, the more I love it. 'Love' is really too light of a term, really. I bounce all around when a new ep comes out! So many great characters, so many interesting and/or hot guys. So many tattoos and cool hair! (Yeah, yeah, I love the series for more than how things look, but looking great is a bonus!)

I mean man, look at these tattoos! Gah, looks so good.

I just wish it wasn't a whole week until the next ep comes out...



Before I start: Manga-readers, I don't want the answers to my questions. :) Anyone can guess, but if you know the answer for sure please don't tell me! I'm not looking for spoilers. :)

It really, really worries me how fast Ichigo is getting stronger. He's going to get to captain-level in three days? Buh? Where's he going to improve from there?

On one hand: I trust the writers to make this make sense. Perhaps Ichigo will become a captain? At first I thought that was impossible, but that insane guy from the first squad doesn't even know the name of his sword and can't use its second form, so exceptions have been made in the past. Maybe they'll be made for Ichigo, too?

But really, at the speed he's improving it seems like he'll outpace everyone in no time at all...

No, I don't think we are. Chip and Niala didn't seem all that interested, and to be honest I'd REALLY love to get level 74 and buffer for Dynamis. u.u We've been at 73 for a long time now.

I think the "boy wonder learns Captain-level techniques at an astonishing rate" is a standard anime/manga cliche. Face it, we wouldn't stick around for 10 years of training anyway. The episode long grunting in DBZ bored the heck out of me as it was. ;)

As for making him a captain, because they made that other guy a captain, I think that was just their way of saying "You only beat a lowly peon that only used brute strength. Now the fun starts."

But as for your concern about having nothing to do once he's so powerful? Unlikely. They're hinting at a whole new storyline with the weapon avatars (don't quite know what to call them) and the mask >.> The mask worries me ... and his shadow self that he seemed to beat so easily to prove his worth to his weapon avatar.

I mean if he's drawing his power from a pact made with his weapon and finds out not everything is what it seems. ^_______^ at the possibilities.

Did I mention I like this series too?

Yeah. I guess I was hoping for a little more than the anima standard though. Or maybe I'm just distracted by all the hot interesting characters!

Avatars being the, um, spirits in their weapons? (I would have used the term 'spirit people' until ep 42 when we got to see the monkey with the snake-tail.) That'd be really interesting, seeing how the weapon-spirit-thingies interact. And his shadow self! Yeah! I want to see more of that, too!

Well, I think the idea was that she was going to make him a high enough level to have passed a captain's test, but there are all different levels of captain. ^_^ (Power-wise that is.) So he could at least stand up for himself against them, anyway.

Didn't she say she'd make him strong enough to beat Byakuya in three days? And Byakuya is ... hm, is he the strongest of the captains? Or does he "just" have the most spirit-power of them all?

Either way, seems a tall order to do it in three days. I look forward to seeing how they handle it! :)
