Holy cow (FFXI news)

I'm not sure which part to boggle over first. That the tool exists? (DROOL!) That people used it and actually expected S-E not to find out about it? (Um, pretty stupid...) Or that S-E actually took a strong action against it? (Assuming it is a strong action. Were only 600 people using it?)

I wasn't intending to post today, but that was interesting enough that I wanted to share. Both RL and FFXI-life have sucked major ass all week, and I've been strongly considering quitting either or both.

I didn't do anything but farm on-game last night, so now my mules are full of stuff to sell. That's all well and good, but what the hell am I supposed to do now? (Have we really only skipped one week of main-job static so far? Is it still five weeks till we can level again? *CRY*) The whole LS is busy with leveling and missions and crap, and I spend most of my time trying to figure out how the hell to kill enough time to reach bedtime.

But hey, I wasn't going to post because I didn't want to make an all-bitching post, so I'll end this here.

*scritches* I've been spinning my wheels a lot in FFXI too. The past couple nights I've just been walking away from the computer and watching TV. And you know I don't watch TV. ;3 *scritches* There's high points and low points, in both business and happiness, just like reality. Coast through it and you'll be fine. I started poking around with Tijan, as you know. ;3 Maybe try another character for shits n' giggles? (Tho I'll sit in the bitching corner about things not selling. >< *flails* I want my inventory space back plzkthx!)

Yeah, I've kind of been thinking about leveling someone else. Maybe I'll send Yagudokisses out to punch bunnies -- I've been curious to see how hard a subjobless melee Taru would have it.

I've done the same TV thing though. I almost never do more than listen to it while I play, but lately I've been standing around in my MH and doing nothing while watching TV. Watch my brain rot~

O.O There's a tool like that? Bloody hell, and yeah, SE would probably find out about something like that. Although, it says '600 accounts'. There might be several characters/people on the same account.

Heh, yeah, okay. A little exaggeration there. :) It just feels like everyone's always doing stuff, but I have nothing to do. (Which is more my own fault than anyone else's. I don't expect people to entertain me! But if we don't level I don't need more armor, which means I don't need to spend money, which means I don't need to make money, which leaves me with nothing to do...)

Do more quests [pokes] You there's at least 100 out there you haven't done yet ;3 When I get bored, I open up MT or Alla and start knocking off quests I haven't done yet. You'd prolly be surprised by how many 'easy' ones there are that you haven't touched yet. (I still haven't finished the 'easy' ones... x.x ) Or even not so easy. Have you gotten your CN map yet? :3 Could work on getting maps or using up keys that are filling inventory space. If you need map keys, maybe you could get together with a couple people and work on that? :3

Every time I poke at the quests list, I end up feeling like they're more work than anything else. I really should poke at the Bastok ones though, I've only done a small handful of those.

Yeah, the map idea is good! I have so many darned keys in my storage.

I've been doing a lot of solo levelling lately, trying to bring some of my jobs up to the party stage. If I've got anything that matches yours, or if you feel like hanging out/questing/what have you, poke me. Wednesday night static excepted, if I'm on I'm not doing anything that can't be interrupted to hang out with friends. ^_~

For reference, here's what I've got:

WAR 40
MNK 22
THF 15 (I don't really plan to level it any more, but if you need it, it's there.)
PLD/RDM 10
WHM/BLM/SMN/NIN 8 (For the mage jobs, I'd need to go armor-shopping; NIN I'm currently working on and trying to get to at least 12.)

Plus I've got a heap of quests active, and I generally enjoy random exploring. Just remember how *horrible* my sense of direction is. ;p

I'm usually not around on Fridays and Saturdays, but most other days I'm on for at least a little bit.

That's just mind boggling. What's next, a tool that lets you save before a fight?

As to FFXI - I can't get much done most weeknights due to time constraints, so I've been raising crafts. That said...I have things at multiple levels if you ever want to party. :)

Black Mage: 30
Monk: 19
Thief: 15 (Not so hot on this one)
Warrior: 11

I wouldn't mind doing quests, but until my schedule change the end (or near the end) of this month I won't be home until 8:30-ish Central each night...and can't really stay up much later than midnight-1AM very often.
