No spoilers. Perhaps if I could write something intelligent there would be spoilers, but... gah. Holy cow. I need to watch the whole ep again, especially the first few minutes and a bit in the middle (running up stairs).

Did you notice that the vial he pumped into himself had the number? Why did he do it after he heard that the hatch had been breached? Is the Quarantine sign for HIS protection against the island, rather than the island's protection against himself? :D

I think that maybe "Quarantine" was put there just to keep people out (would you open a door with that written on it?).

No, the words were on the INSIDE. O_o; And the guy looked like he had the resources to get out, right? So I think he is trying to shut himself away from the island, for some reason.

Though, there's also this interesting theory going around, that he's kind of a devil figure. :P Like.. RIGHT after he met Desmond, Jack's patient, who had zero chance of walking again, suddenly was able to. The guy in the wheelchair could walk after the crash. The one guy had a chance to be with his son. The lady was able to escape that marshal. That one guy one the lottery. And on and on. Did they somehow sell their souls to make that deal? Is that why there's the huge catch of being on the scary island? :P

Yeah, it boggled me, because if it said Quarantine, they wouldn't have opened it. That's why they looked so shocked tos ee the words, even though they immediately assume the person/whatever down there was the one under quarantine, not them :P

So, what are your thoughts on Shannon's vision? Did she see a warning or do you think it was more of a vision? I thought it was a bit of both, myself.

First off, I hate hate hatity hate Shannon so much. She had one job to do, one!, and not to mention it was the first job she was ever given... and she can't do it! How hard is it to watch a dog? I was so hoping she was going to get eaten by a polar bear when she went wandering off.

I think what she saw was "real" (wasn't just a product of her own brain). Maybe projected by Walt? (But if so, why send the message to her? I'd send it to Vincent first!)

The plot point I can buy, but she had Vincent's leash. Attach one end to the dog, never let go of the other end. Poof! No more running-away-dog! Since she said something like "I just saw him a minute ago!" she must have left him alone or something...
