thistlechaserI was looking through my /ffxi directory of screenshots, and it amazes and embarrasses me how... new I had been in the beginning. (Yeah, that sounds silly.)
This is one of the very first screenshots I ever took/posted. I'm in starting armor! And look at my weapon! (And the fact that I took the screenshot using S-E's built in sucky tool!) It's so boggling, it doesn't feel like "me" at all.
I had been so clueless (there's no better word for it than that!). I took this screenshot because I wasn't sure if that was a Dragoon or not. I posted it so I could ask people if it was. :P
Can you believe I used to wear a robe and used a hammer? o.O
I took a screenshot of the first synth I ever saw being done because it had looked so cool. Little did I know how familiar I'd become with that animation. :P
It's odd how my FFXI path has changed. I wanted to be a WHM so I could "help people" (ha), and look at me now: About as far from being a WHM as you can get!
Unfortunately it was weeks before I actually named my screenshots (more than the tool's default clp37.jpg, clp38.jpg, etc), so they're a pain in the butt to look through now. Even more unfortunatly, once I started naming and dating them, I hadn't included years till we hit 2005 and I saw that I'd be overlapping. I could say "I fail at planning ahead" but it's more like I never, ever, ever would have believed that I'd be playing a MMORPG for a year and a half now.

When I started the game I wanted to be DRG, then I met some really cool DRKs and decided to go that way... got to lvl 35 before I did a 180 and started WHM ^^;
