Unexcitingness (FFXI)

thistlechaserDidn't do much of anything tonight. I could have/should have logged off FFXI and played WoW, but I didn't really feel like playing that either.
Ironically, after spending two hours yesterday killing orcs in the Meadows to clear fomor hate, I went back there today, this time to level my NPC. (And unlike yesterday, that tabbing=freezing bug didn't hit me and cause me to lose my NPC. Bonus!) Gunner leveled up to 35. Yay? Fellowship NPCs are still nothing but a time-killer, not much of a help at all. I had him set to "healer" job, and while I got down below 50% HP three times, he never ever ever cured me, not even once. I had to two-hour at one point to save myself. But hey, he silenced those MNK and RNG gigas real good! Thanks, dude.
Half my reason for going was to farm socks, but it wasn't until I had spent nearly two hours killing them (only about 20 kills, gigas were even harder to kill than orcs) did I ask and was told that gigas in the Meadows don't drop socks. ...joy... So my time-wasting task was actually more of a waste of time than I had thought!
I did get a chameleon diamond drop (about the only drop I got), so I went to Jeuno to do that quest.
Yeah, thanks NPC dude. Nice backhanded compliment there. "Even for me", huh? c.c
I did get a spiffy title though:
CoP static or anyone doing the Promys: Is there anima farming happening anytime in the coming days/weeks? I'll need a set, but I can't do it solo. If anyone goes out to do it, let me know?
