My intended plan was to keep detailed stats on my time seeking and XPing per level, but that's resulted in nothing but a mess of post-it notes fluttering across my desk. :P

Tonight: Two parties. The first was with the smoker ever-AFK PLD (ugh), the second with Turlos, a MNK I had partied with before (I love inviting MNKs and THFs and DRGs, since they wait so long), and a pair of nice JP mages.

This isn't going to be a long post because I need to get into bed, but on the NA/JP thing: Gods above, the first party (all NA) embarrassed the hell out of me and made me want to slap them silly. All the typical newbie party stuff: People running around attacking random stuff (at level 65!), no one listening, zero communication, etc. The second party was 4/6 NA and worked out so much nicer.

First party:
XP earned: 6,759
Time spent XPing: ~1 hour and 40 minutes.
That's more than 3K/hour! Woo!

Second party:
XP earned: Almost 12K
Time spent XPing: ~3 hours?? Very rough guess.
That's about 4K/hour! Woo woo!

Best was the lack of time spent seeking this level! I got an almost instant invite as soon I logged on this afternoon (though once I got there it was an hour wait to start). And I had just enough time to cook dinner before I pulled the second party together.

Hit 66 with a nice buffer (almost 9K)! Just under 20,000 to 67!

Zzzzz, bed now.

Ha ha, on reading this post before posting it, I wonder if anyone at all is interested in the xp/hour numbers besides me. I just keep track of everything! I love seeing numbers and trends and all that jazz (yet I hate math, go fig!) But for real, zzz now.

I always calculate xp/hour... but I'm not geek enough to post them on my LJ >:P

Like I said, after a few rounds in the INV circuit, people start remembering your name and the invites come a little easier ^^

Naw. Chipo's a geek too! ;3 He kept a running total of damage done last night in our static. XD In 3.5 hours he did something like 55k damage, I did 44k and Kagero did 11k! o.o/ It was funny :D Dragoon vs Giant Birds 4tw~

And heh! I always intended to try one of those log parser things to see how our former static damage went, but I always "forgot" to set one up. (It wasn't totally really forgetting, I think I'm best not knowing. I keep everyone else's damage filtered so that I don't see it and want to do stupid things so my damage numbers will be over others'. My poor fragile DRK ego~!)

Yar, I just leave all my filters on so I don't get spammed by anyone's damage dumbers but my own and Kagero's. X3

Yeah, it is rather spammy because I have to turn off all the filters so that I get everybody's numbers. But luckily the mobs we fight don't have any attacks that are really stunnable so I can mostly just ignore the spam, watch its health bar for timing and keep an ear out for the weapon skills.

XD Turlos the MNK... That just strikes me as really funny. Turlos is one of the greatest guys I know to play FFXI. He and I started out as LS mates in Order of The Silver Hand. The I went off to join CtY and he went off to join Valor.

Lately I've been lucky to have him on my avatar runs... Half the fun of playing with turlos is waiting for him to die... he seems to have perfected '/ja {death}' ^^

DRGs, DRKs, MNKs, and THFs get no invite-love, yeah. Thus when I make a party (basically every time I XP c.c ) I try to invite them.

I still haven't a clue why MNKs get no love on Midgard - it was the same before my linkshell and I shifted to Hades. Though they don't give great numbers, they sure as hell outdamage many through constant DoT. :E

Me neither, I think they're great. Plus, if I grab a THF and MNK, I get a good SC that doesn't involve me (I don't mind SCing at all, but if the party has no refresher then I'm going to have to sit my butt down for MP).
