Quickie update (Lost and FFXI)

I love Eko because he's Locke minus the religious fanaticism. I wish I had his exact quote, but it was something like "Don't credit to fate that which is really coincidence" (his wording was a lot better). Because really, you could just see Locke's face light up with his insane religious belief in the island (or rather "the Island").

Still hating Kate muchly, and not liking Kate/Sawyer much either. Loved the pretty horse, and I bet you dollars to donuts that someone is screwing with Michael's head and that isn't really Walt on the computer.



I've not mentioned FFXI lately because nothing exciting is happening at all. I've spent the last three days mining, trying to build up my cash reserve again. Over three days I've gotten a grand total of 1 darksteel ore, 2 gold ores, and 2 plat ores (plus a ton of assorted moblin armor bits and lesser ores). Mining 4-5 hours a night, three nights. The only thing that keeps it from utterly putting me to sleep is that the tabbing=crashing bug hits me every 20 minutes or so. *rolls eyes*

I might go XPing tomorrow night, but... I don't know. I almost feel like I lost my taste for it (or is it "nerve for it"?), after being away for it for a week. I need to get back to it eventually though...

As for Kate, I cringed at the Jack/Kate kiss because I know it's just going to be used in more Kate-hate. "OMG SHEZ CHEATIN ON SWYR!!11 WHUT A WHOR!!1" [sic]. I mean, I don't like Kate much either, but that's because she's an emotional manipulator when she's not as bland as white bread. It has nothing to do with who she's playing tonsil hockey with.

I think the horse was symbolic of Kate's past, so as soon as the show ended, I went to find what black horses were symbolic of. Apparently, they represent mourning and maternal need, which makes me wonder.

No, I'm pretty sure it was the other way (because Locke's the one who would argue pro-"religion"/faith). But yeah, it's interesting!

Yeah, that's why this bug annoys me so much. How can you mine without tabbing? Camping a spot isn't a good way, since then the game would think you're a bot...

I'm just glad they didn't cop out and make Kate !murderer. Because she didn't need to be any blander. I saw the Jate kiss coming from a mile away, but there was nothing I could do to stop it. It was...horrible.
But hey, a Kate episode beats the tar out of a Jack episode anyday, and at least it had some of the Locke/Eko moments we were all waiting for. That, and the best scene of the episode: The Sun/Jin cuddle (thumbs up!).

Definitely not Walt on the comp. Funny how right after the film says, "you will be tempted to use the computer for communication", the Hello? pops up.
