thistlechaserSince I got to bed late last night, I had intended to get to bed early tonight... but that didn't work out. At all. :/ Mondays are hard: Too much to do, too little time.
First off, someone please, please, please explain this to me: Short text log of a fight. (Writing with a mouse is hard!) Start the battle, I SATAed (no reason for the TA, other than my SATA macro is easier to hit than my SA one), Gunnar wasn't close, thus I didn't TA off him (can you even TA off a fellowship NPC?). I took the mob to half-life with my one WS, hate should have been locked on me... yet the mob was on my NPC. We fight, I do more than many times his damage each swing, I stun, but I can't get it off him. He nearly died. :( I wonder if something with hate is messed up (though I hear no one complaining about this other than me) or if there's something odd with TAing -- maybe you can be a lot less well lined up to TA off a NPC than if you were trying to off a PC? (I always SATA when I'm with him, but this is only the third or so time this hate thing has happened.) Can you even TA onto a NPC friend? (And ha ha ha, if so: how long will level 38 him stay my friend if I keep TAing 1K WSes onto him? :P )
I was stressing all night (bad bad bad work, little sleep, dinner messed up), so after Eco and Escort I went to do my favorite beastman seals-burning BC: Treasures and Tribulations. NakedWHM non-DRK me psyching up for this hard, hard BC! *ahem* Or my one-in-three chance at winning junk. :P But I won!
The scroll is vendor trash and the ring (WHM only, ha ha) sells slowly at maybe 20K. But still, yay! I'm 50-50 on winning this one, which isn't bad for a one-in-three guess! Not only did I win:
That's something of a joke, since I wasted so much time. I posed for screenshots, chatted with LS people, sat for MP to reraise (I had cast it outside the BC but it was removed, heh). There had been no record listed when I entered, so I must have been the first person doing it this week. Hee.
And yay! Earlier this evening I was able to try out Spiral Hell for the first time! This was the best screenshot I could get. It's a... um, wacky and unrealistic WS: you twirl the scythe twice, at angles, once around either side of your upper body, then you hit the mob. I felt more like I should be leading a parade than using it in a fight. :P At 300% it does nearly the damage Guillotine does at 100%, so... it's not very useful. Flashy though! And I'm glad I have it. :) But once I saw the animation enough I switched back to my GS. Spinning Slash uber alles.
Thankfully I got a total of 2K XP from Escort and Eco tonight. I'm more than halfway through 71, and all without having gotten more than one (short) XP party! I'm leveling with just Escort/Eco, skilling, key hunting, etc. Heh. But at least it's some progress, so I don't feel quite so sick to my stomach at my current inability to keep moving forward.

So thats why it does so much ^^
