Believe it or not, I'm not much of a gamer. Other than FFXI, I've only owned/played three or four video games. I really, really hate buying a whole system just to play one game (I bought PS2 for FFX, Gamecube for Animal Crossing, some old Nintendo one for Pokemon), yet I'm about to do it again. I'm itching and itching for the new Animal Crossing game, but you have to buy a silly Nintendo DS thingie to play it, but I can't resist any longer! On the way home tonight I'm going to buy one! (I already called to make sure they're in stock, and they are!)

This purchase is a little easier to justify than the others, as I'm sure I can use it to entertain myself while waiting for a party invite on DRK. (And I'm also wondering if it'll be small enough that I can use it at work. Maybe it'll be able to be kept next to my keyboard so I can keep track of my town and such?)

The only thing I'm not sure about is the whole online aspect. I have no wireless network at home, so... I guess I can't get online with it? I'd hope it would come with a cable that could be plugged into your computer, but I doubt that. (Hey... here at work we do have wireless stuff, maybe I could let people visit my town while I'm here! Heehee.)

So if you play AC:DS already, would you mind hooking me up with some fruit? Pretty please with sugar on top? :D (Eh, I assume trading works the same way, I can just give you my name and my town? You don't need the wireless thing to trade, I hope?) (Edit: Hey, I wonder if you could trade between the first game and the second? If so, I could be rich right from the start! :P )

Eee, so excited!

My little brother has it, but I do not. :< Maybe when his DS inevitably breaks.

To get online, you'll need a wireless router or the USB adapter (http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?currency=USD&storeId=10001&jspStoreDir=NOASTORE&productId=95704&categoryId=11157&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&ddkey=SetCurrencyPreference), and a broadband connection. :)

Woo, thanks! I'll grab that if it doesn't work to use it from work. :)

Hi. I friended you a long time ago when Animal Crossing for the Gamecube came out. I sent you a bunch of letters when you were collecting those for a webpage, too. I've been playing AC for the DS since it came out. I had to get the DS just to play it. Anyway, I don't know much about the wireless aspect (my husband is the one who set that up for me), but I know there is a usb thing that you can buy. Look here (http://ds.ign.com/articles/665/665128p1.html/) for information about that.

Unfortunately, you can't trade items like on the gamecube. The only way to trade is to go to someone's town and have them drop it on the ground for you. In order to travel to another town, the person has to have your friend code, and you have to have theirs. It's easy to do that though.

I've been afraid to open my town up to people that I don't know because I like to take good care of my town. So if you do get it, I would be happy to play with you because I know that you would be considerate of that!

One of my favorite parts of the new game is that you can wear different hats and accessories like wigs, masks, and glasses.

Oh, and I really wish there was a way to transfer stuff from the old game to the new game, too. I'd have so much money! As you can tell I'm a little obsessed with this game right now, so let me know if you have any questions.

I remember that! :) And that part of my site is suddenly getting a lot of traffic. Heh.

Oh, drat. The trading style from the gamecube was really handy.

For sure! :) I'll get that friends code thing once I get to work on Monday. :)

Agreed! My (boy) character is now walking around with a bow in his hair. Heehee.

Me and Kate both have it, if we can help get the online thing working in some way, we can funnel stuff to you. Both got Nookington's already so lots of items and tools. ;)
