Blarg (Bleach and FFXI)

Bleach: Did Luna stop subbing Bleach or are they just being even slower than usual? Other groups have three eps out since their last ones. (Not that I'm in a great rush or anything, I still have two unwatched eps sitting on my harddrive.)

FFXI: Blarg. Blarg x1000. Highly depressed, disappointed, and annoyed with the game tonight, even though I'm telling myself not to be.

DRK: I had my AF forever, but not the levels to wear it.
RDM: Have the levels, but not the AF.

The RDM situation is actually worse, because I feel stupid for being able to wear the AF and not having it. Hate, hate, hate that the game is so impossible to solo.

Even if Wednesday goes perfectly well and I get the keys for both RDM 56 and 58 piece, I'm just a level and a bit away from 60. What then?

Blarg.

In other news: Moat carp are currently selling for 45K per stack (!!!!!), so I bought a rod, some bait, and went out to try it. I caught two stacks really fast, but my hand is now tingling and numb. Yep, that's why I was forced to stop fishing in the past.

Though I don't usually curse, tonight we'll close with a big "Fuck you!" to S-E, for ever so many reasons.

Because the mongtastic jerks at SE redesigned fishing so you have to button mash to tire the beasts out before you have a chance of catching them.

Apparently:

1) It was too easy to fish, therefore they had to make it nigh impossible.
2) People could actually enjoy fishing, therefore they had to make it unfun.

Anyone who has a RSI (or are prone to them) would have this sort of problem. For me personally, I think I keep my arm too tense (no matter if I use a controller or the keyboard). But if I don't keep it tense, then I can't do it fast enough to catch anything. Very annoying. :(

I didn't think typing /fish (or, god forbid, hitting a macro) every few seconds and wait for it to process + repeat was very fun =x
Granted, I got bored after losing some pretty pricy lures due to random failure and the sheer boredom even with the new system...

Also... are you attempting catches far beyond your skill level? Even for skill-up fishes it's rare for them to move around like a hyper child on a sugar high... if you're at or beyond the cap they should both go down quickly (heehee) and have minimal movements. Besides, IIRC moat carps are pretty tame... Anyhoo, yellow globes are where it's at >>;

Agreed, but it was something you could do while watching TV, chatting on LS, or just fooling around. With the new system, I can't even watch TV. :/

Far from it. I'm level... 58? 61? fishing and I target moat carp. The darned fish should see me coming and just jump into my gobbiebag! (Plus I have the LSR key item, which further improves my skill.)

I normally watch Datte Bayo's fansubs of Bleach. They're usually the first ones out with a new episodes and the translation is good as far as I can determine.
