Yet another post with the subject line 'Zzzz'. (FFXI and American Idol)

Nothing big or exciting tonight. Did the first step of that mine/harvest/log in three different zones NPC quest. Got NIN from 9 -> 12 and ate my however-you-spell-it (shadows) scroll. Now for the next day or three I'm going to synth a ton of shihei.

Put on my RDM AF to run around town in, and wiggled happily. I haven't worn it in way too many days (eh, or since Monday I guess, but it felt like a long time!) and was happy to see myself in it.

On soloing NIN: I made better XP/hour than I did in the vast majority of my XP parties over the last few months. 2K/hour is the best I ever see in XP parties, and I did slightly better than that soloing. (Just on EP-- to EP, too. 20-35 XP for something I can one-short or two-shot? {Yes, please!})

AI: Oh my god, that second-to-last guy, the one who sang Father Figure? Oh my god. Hottest thing I have seen on TV in a long, long time. Who cares if there were people who sang better than him, let him sing that song and just look at me. Oh my god. (And he was blushing at the end! So cute! *somehow resists saying 'oh my god' again*)

Last night there was some woman singer I liked (she had a deeper voice than most of the others), but I can't remember her name or what she sang.

And a note to the world in general: Could we bring back more of George Michael's music? I really enjoy it (and I dislike most music, so that's saying something).

It amazes me how easy soloing at lower level is now, I did RDM to 18 solo and BRD to 12, both without it being mind bogglingly tedious. Capped skills and 200+ level's worth of experience in other jobs does wonders.

I tried to find a picture of him from last night, but there don't seem to be any easily findable yet. :/ The "normal" (non-singing) pictures of him don't do him justice. I think the results show is tonight? It's only a half-hour long and I bet they'll replay the clip of him singing, so maybe check it out?

Not to mention the XP band. 1K free XP when the levels need less than 3K total? Nice! I'm going to try to solo NIN to 15, so at least I could chocobo to *twitch* the Dunes and such.

Yeah, I liked the last one a lot, too. :) I liked a lot of the guys but almost none of the women (which is usual in AI for me).

And yes, Father Figure is creepy! But that's why I like it. It reminds me of a priest coming on to some young person. It's icky and wrong, but hot too.

Also, Valkurm isn't to bad for this job as long as your party has been informed of your strenghts and weaknesses.

The secrets of the locust out of it's shell should, like the rest of of the scrolls, be called by it's given name to maintain the mystery, thus making you more awe-inspiring and wanted in a party.

Just make your parties understand that you're not a solo-tank and you'll need a second provoker around when your three shadows are down. Try opting for pulling-duty if you can. Your throwing needs to be capped anyways and your archery/marksmanship isn't too bad at this level-range (keep at least throwing and marksmanship capped at 20 and you can do NIN/RNG through the jungles).
And so what if they're gonna let you die? You have Mijin Gakure. the rest of the party don't. If the party wipes you won't suffer an XP penalty. o.~

One of my neighbors across the street blasted a few of his songs for an entire summer. You'd think I would have gotten sick of them, but I kept enjoying them even after weeks of it. That's got to say something about the quality of them. :P
