Things didn't start out so great: Two hours seeking on BLU, no invites. (WTF? I thought I had given up on that kind of seeking!) Eventually an invite came in, and I set out for Crawler's Nest. I checked the party list as I rode. I was BLU 35, and there was a 38 member. WTF? And there were two 34 members, too. NIN tank... yet two WHMs. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over. But since it took so long to get an invite, I figured I'd give it a try.
Got out there to find the puller had pulled with only four members in the zone, got a link, died. (Remember that, that was to be the theme of the party!)
Eventually we all got there. Puller pulled. Got a link. Died. Pull #2: Puller pulled. Got a link. Died. Pull #3: Puller pulled. Got a link. Died. Pull #4: Puller pulled. Got a link. Died. Turns out the puller (party leader) and the party's tank were both playing some other videogame (PSO) while playing FFXI! Gah!
After those four fights and a near death for me (both WHMs Bene'ed at once allowing the DRG and myself to live through it, but no one else), I found a rep and beat feet out of there. Got less than 1K XP for my time, wasted a charge on my XP band, but at least I didn't die!
A Besieged was getting ready, so I headed out there and waited and waited and waited. Three hours later and it finally started! (The wait was fine and dandy. I watched TV, ate dinner, talked to people, generally relaxed.) It was a level 5 and we had less than 500 people in the zone, so I was afraid it would be worse than usual, but it actually was easier.
I was rolling along, hitting mobs, casting, doing my job, rubbing my hands together knowing I'd get 700 XP out of it... but little did I know what job of the mob I jumped was.

What do you get when you cross a 2HRing NIN and a Dark Knight's "wet paperbag" defense? A dead DRK! Hee! Luckily, even though the damned mobs kept dispelling it, my reraise was on at the time so I got myself up and off into a corner to sit.
I "only" made 526 XP out of this, but that's fine! Great! I had oodles of fun! (We had lots of people there who we don't usually have! Ni and Chip! And Yossy! And Draque made it again! Plus the more regular Aurian, Des, and Woman!) And the game didn't crash once for anyone that I saw! :D
Ead: Here's the screenshot you wanted. ;) Such a troublemaker am I~!
*bounciebouncie* Now I don't want to sleep. Besieged is the best idea S-E ever introduced: It's amazingly fun, very challenging, but more than that: You can play it however you want! Use whatever subjob you want! Party, solo, or ally! Throw yourself at mobs or be more cautious! And everyone (everyone! PCs and NPCs!) work together towards a common goal! And it's so cool that they made it challenging to level 75 people! And it's exciting! And fun!
Can you tell how much I love it? :D

Same. I kept getting that the mob was out of range or that I couldn't see it when the darned thing was right in front of me. :)
