I think I'm getting sick... or have been for a while. I strongly suspect I have a sinus infection going on (or is it more allergies? For the last many months? ><). Head/sinuses are pounding, I can't breathe, my throat feels like it's coated with thick stuff, and there's a constant drip down the back of my throat. (TMI? Sorry!) I hate to go to the doctor, but I'm going to have to if this doesn't get better soon. It's hard to sleep when you feel like you're drowning!

Didn't exercise last night or tonight because I feel like crap. On the plus side, I haven't really wanted to eat either, so maybe it balances out? Ha ha.

Anime: OH MY GOD! Saw an advertisement on TV: Some American company is releasing Naruto figures, and Haku and Zabuza are included! I must get them! Now now now! They can join the orgy herd of Hakus and Zabuzas on my desk! Yay! I need to track down if they're out yet or when they're getting released! (Edit: Ah ha! Images! Three pages of them!)

FFXI: Finally the thing I've been hoping for happened: A Besieged took place while I was home for lunch! That's never happened since the event was introduced. Unfortunately we had no chance in hell of winning. Level 5 undead, started with 150 in the zone, ended with 231... and we had only two generals in the beginning. We lost, and badly. (But I got "full" (for a loss) XP on DRK. Need about 1K more to get recapped.)

This morning before work I checked to see how I did in the fishing ranking contest. You needed to be in the top 20 to win the prize:

Arg! So close! Grump! I was hoping that the next contest would be for a good fish (like moat carp), but I'm told it's only unstackable fish. Hope it's not another one that's really hard to catch or that I have to go to a dangerous place to get. Guess we'll find out come September first! (Really need to work on replacing my Lu's. Not going to buy another one for double the price I sold mine for, but I can earn a second one on a mule!)

Once I got home from work, we went to U-whatever Range to try to learn two moves for two of our LS BLUs. Frightful Roar off those evil looking dino-mobs and Cold Wave off snolls. Got both for both people! But I got sloppy with hate at a bad time. Nothing is scarier than a (fast!) countdown to your doom:

I was spamming holy water, and finally it worked.

On a related note: Almost broke 1K with Rampage! (DC mob, no food or buffs.) Really like my axes a lot, it feels like I do so much more damage! But funny (and sad) thing was I felt... not great about playing DRK. BRD would have been a lot more helpful and a lot easier to keep myself alive! Booo. (But I went through this same sort of thing with RDM, so I'm sure I'll get over it.)

Once that finished, I went digging! Since I wasn't pressed for time, I went to the Desert. At first it seemed like a good decision:

(The stone is the very rarest thing you can get, the scale is 'uncommon' level, but still worth a good ~9K.) But flocks of diggers must have arrived a moment later. Wasted about 10 stacks and got little more, then gave up and went back to Meri mountains.

Same thing, started well!

And happily it stayed good! Got 5 gold beastcoins (usual is 3), and annoyingly a black chocobo feather (the second rarest thing you can dig up there, but vendor trash).

Note: Both digging screenshots edited to remove tells and LS foo. I could have just blurred it out, but cutting it makes them smaller to keep fpage spam down.

Would have counted as a very good night if I was feeling better. :/

*laughs* Someone else said they were scary, too!

And no, I hadn't heard! Woo! I'll actually have to start downloading again and somehow make time to watch.

If your mucous is an 'off' color like green or yellow then you do in fact have a sinus infection. Those can linger like that for months unless you get some fairly serious antibiotics to burn them out of you.

Just an FYI. :)

That's funny, I thought yellow was a normal color! But I did some reading this morning and you're right.

Green would scare me a lot. A whole lot.

Nope. 'Healthy' mucous should be clear, or nearly clear. If it has any sort of color then there's something wrong. :)

Now you know!
And knowing is half the battle. :)

Might be allergies, depending on where you are. This is apparently a very, very bad year for ragweed, and is longer than usual. Anything that takes the energy from my ADHD son has to be bad.

That's what my doctor said a while back, too. It's why I'm not rushing off to her office, now. (In California, by the way. Where even in winter everything stays green and allergy-y!)

Hope your son feels better soon, too!

I'd say go to the doctor and get things checked out. I had a really weird sinus infection two weeks ago where my ears were suffy and hurting, but my nose wasn't that stuffed up at all. Still, I got some antibiotics that cleared most of it out (though I still have a tiny lingering bit).

Also, I saw the Naruto figures in a toy store the other day, and the Haku one did make me think of you. ^^

Awww! You should have bought it for me and brought it over in person~! ;)

And yeah, I might have to go. But I hate going to the doctor!

You buy me plane tickets to California and I'll do it. ^_~

I hate going to the doctor too, but sinus infections are nasty, lingering things. I spent half a semester in college trying to shake one.

Hehe. Oh, I've known this for awhile now. We were at the store and my brother was trying to decide on a new "binja" (read: ninja) to add to his collection. I spotted the Naruto figures and was like, "AAAH! NARUTO! MommycanIhaveoneplease?!"

...She just told me to grow up and stop acting like a 5-year-old. ;_;

Heh! I guess I'm behind the times (and acting like a 5-year-old)! I never go to toystores anymore, so I didn't know about this till the commercial.

Mommy, can I have one too, please~?

Sadly, Frank and I are known for making specific trips to the toystore and spending an hour or two just walking around looking and playing with things...

I would totally do that. ^^ Years ago, there was an FAO Schwartz in a mall near me, and I would drag my then-boyfriend to it every time we were there.

FAO Schwartz was friggin' sweet~ XD I remember going to the one in Chicago. ♥ I loved the floor-piano thing they had on one of the bridges in the upper level. Dad and I would play songs (we're both musicians) until Mom told us to grow up and threatened to leave us there. X3

I remember going to FAO Schwartz in New York, on a field trip. The massive stuffed animals... oh man, that was heaven. Too bad they were so darn expensive. -_-;

My brother made it to the one in New York before it closed. I didn't. I'm still jealous. ;_;

It is! But we're supposed to be, like, adults now. Or something.

No thanks! I'd rather be able to visit toy stores. :D
