Seems like I spent most of the day hoping for things to drop (and waiting for airships). Since our NIN couldn't get online for static, we decided to hunt down some keys. Two of us needed Castle Oz, so we started (and ended) there!
Excitingly, I found a coffer right off the bat! But we needed a key. I kept watching the coffer between fights, but another group got it before we could get a key. Ugh ugh ugh. Then finally we got a key, and the other LS fellow got it (which was fine, since he's BRD main and BRD is only another of my jobs). He got the coffer, and I started the mental countdown till it would repop. That time came and went, us still trying to get another key. Heh. Finally we got one, and though the coffer was in the leech pool, I got it! Yay for higher level folks there to help out!
So now I have myChoral Cannions Evil Dark Bard Pants Made Of Evil and Darkness and Souls and DOOOOOOM! They'll go well with my Choral Slippers Manly Non-Magely Boots Of Ass Kicking And Never Singing!
It took three hours to get three keys, and by then we were all beat and stopped.
Castle Z: 3 keys (2 for Nil (BRD, SAM), one for me)
CN Coffer: 1 (me)
Temple Ugh: 1 (Nil)
Bead: 1 (Dani)
GC (coffer, I think): 1 (Dani).
Must find out which ones Nai still needs, and add them to the list.
I need to stop being a slacker about digging. My biggest desire in digging has become "to dig without having to deal with other diggers", which leads to really bad zone choices. Went to Bubu, figuring if I could get a plat ore or two (rarest items) it wouldn't matter if the rest was trash. Problem was, I didn't get a plat ore. >< Got nearly 50 tin ores (UGH) and little else better. Utterly wasted trip, didn't even come close to covering greens cost. Will not do that again!
I've never gotten my teleport-V-whatever scroll, so I decided to go farm the marble for that. Oh, what a pain! Took almost exactly two hours of killing lizards (with TH) to get it. Ugh.
Today was such a bad day for airships. I had to take a whole bunch of them (four in a row, at one point) and never once did I wait less than 10 minutes for one. Ugh. By the time I was waiting for the last one, I was ready to kill someone.
Before static, I hit the Jeuno AH and saw this. It was way too early in the morning for this kind of pain! And you thought subligar couldn't get worse...

For the AF in Uggalepih, if you don't find it in any of the spots out in the (semi-)open or behind the temple guardian door your best bet is to come back later, since it's either already popped, behind an uggalepih key door, or behind the ugg key + prelate key door.
I always had really horrible luck with Beady key, so if you can't get it to drop but you can find the coffer (it's usually pretty easy to see) you might want to kidnap someone's low level THF and try to pop a mimic. Assuming you can kill said mimic, free key!
Zvahl coffer sucks since stuff by coffers still aggros at 75 but if you find the NMs that hang around near the pops you might be able to make some money. Try to wait until nothing is facing it, obviously, but it doesn't hurt to bring a job + subjob combo that has sleep and warp, so if you do get aggro you can sleep it and gtfo.
Make sure that you're after GC coffer at weird hours, because something like 7+ jobs have AF there (WHM RDM PLD RNG BLM MNK BST...) so there's usually competition.

Doesn't that suck? I had to do RDM AF there, so I had my LS park me behind the door and I told them I wasn't going to come out until I had my coffer, even if it took days. (Luckily it only (ha, only) took 8 hours or so.)
