First off, I found those two Carl Jr's/Hardee's dancing-with-cows commercials on youtube! The ones that make me cry and twitch every time I see them.
Commercial #1.
#2, even worse!
While looking for a link for the second ad, I found an official commercial that did a spoof of Brokeback Mountain for some cow... parade... thing. *snicker*

Where do you guys want to go on Tuesday? Options from Campsitaru:
(Colibri options not listed.)
55-58 Caedarva Mire (Marsh Murre) * (see below)
56-58 Attohwa Chasm (Monarch Ogrefly) -- We tried this with our old static and it wasn't great, right? I'd also question if there were enough flies.
56-59 Gustav Tunnel (Robber Crab/Goblin) -- Meh. Okay, if there's a camp free, I guess.
56-60 Cape Terrigan (Robber Crab/Velociraptor/Terror Pugil) -- Cape Terrigan makes me cry, but I'll go here if we want.
56-60 Kuftal Tunnel (Raptors) - Meh. I'm not pulling there, and Nil will die unless he goes /NIN. It sucked ass pulling raptors and tigers there with /THF.
57-59 Upper Delkfutt's Tower (Dire Bats/Jotunn) -- A-E-D static went here, no? How was it? Or was it bad for a NIN tank?
57-60 Pso'Xja * (see below)
58-61 Valley of Sorrows (Velociraptor) - VoS is just as bad as Cape Terrigan in my book. Blech.
Pso'Xja: Map and such: http://campsitarus.blogspot.com/2006/03/57-60-psoxja.html
Enter Pso'Xja from the (F-7) tower of the Beaucedine Glacier.
* Invisible and Sneak are required inside Pso'Xja.
* Follow the path down to the main room, and head right. This will lead you to a hole in the ground (marked "Drop G").
* This puts you at "G" on the very top map. Head down the passageway, and turn right at the circular room.
* Keep going straight (east), where there will be another hole in the ground.
* The room you are in is camp.
Target mobs
Primary: Dire Bats
* Bat (Single)
* Aggro to Sound
* Links by Sound
* Weak to Piercing weapons
* Weak to Wind
* Weak to Light
* Very Strong against Darkness
Primary: Diremite Assaulter
* Diremite
* Aggro to Sound
* Not Linking
* Weak to Water
* Weak to Light
Primary: Snow Lizard
* Lizard
* Not Aggro
* Links by Sound
* Weak to Ice
* Weak to Wind
Commentarus:
First off, note that you're camping in a room with a hole in it. Be careful not to fall down said hole, or you will find yourself confronted with mobs that are over Level 72!
Mobs in the frozen regions of CoP seem to have slight differences from their more warm-blooded counterparts. Lizards here can Silence as well as Petrify, so have your White Mage at the ready for both. Diremites have an AoE move, as well as a directional Slow. Bats are also able to Aspir.
Needs checking:
* The mobs here are in general, level 63-68, which means that a skilled xp party, tops should really be here until 57. Could someone try a 55-57 party here to test it out?
* Need to double check mob abilities. Like how Nival Raptors Paralyze instead of Disease, I suspect the Snow Lizards Silence in place of something else. What is that something?

Caedarva Mire: Link to map and such: http://campsitarus.blogspot.com/2006/06/55-58-caedarva-mire.html
Target mobs:
Primary: Marsh Murre
* Bird
* Not Aggro
* Links by Sound
* Weak against Ice
* Weak against Light
* Strong against Wind
Commentarus:
To get to the camp, take the ship to Nashmau, and exit to the west into the Caedarva Mire. The Marsh Murre are a little spaced out, so keep some kind of order going so that the puller knows where the next mob is. These birds also, for some reason, seem to use TP moves more frequently than normal, so keep Baraera up to minimise the damage done from Wing Cutter.
Because of the nature of the mobs, and their quick repop time, higher level parties (~60) can potentially do a TP spam-esque party here, with good pulling, to rake in larger chains (10+).

hello. i have camped here 3 times 56-58 (got my 58 here) and 1 time 58-60 PT. we were having some problems with spawns because we were killing so fast that only possible pulls where really far away so we started to kill leeches and they are almost the same as birds but go a little crazier and have their mean drain kisses. Lv.61 ppl messes up the PT
Both of those support one party.
In my opinion, both Pso'Xja and Caedarva Mire sound really interesting (though Pso'Xja might be annoying to get to). It'd be nice to XP in the new areas for once, especially since it sounds like we'll be close to town and can duck back in when sanction wears.
I'd be open to most any option we want, though in my opinion both Cape Terrigan and Valley of Sorrows should be deleted off the map and never heard from again.

Date: 2006-09-20 09:49 pm (UTC)Those gigas had a bad habit of attacking at stupidly high speed. Most of them are MNKs, have doubleattack, and love to spam AOE stuff that kills or goes through shadows. Definately more PLD-friendly than NIN.
As for the Mire... I suppose I wouldn't mind trying the birdies. So long as they're not the stupid foodstealing, peckingflurrying colibris. XE The 'safest' camp is probably Gustav or Terrigan on crabs/goblins/pugs, but I'm willing to try the Mire. We can always Dem or Altep if it doesn't work out. :3

Date: 2006-09-20 10:02 pm (UTC)Nonono. They'd eat Nai for lunch. The Jotunn seem to be extremely accurate, and without the defense a paladin naturally can pile on, they'd make quick work once her shadows were done. :(
That said, I'm all for Caedarva Mire. While Pso'xja sounds nice, that hole bothers me. One wrong move from the puller running in, and he's lunch. :x And I'm not sure if I can tractor him back up. The Chasm might be a good spot, if we can find an area with enough flies. It'd take some scouting. VoS.... well, we're a good group. The raptors are a pain in the ass, but. They're not stealing food or TP.
While Gustav potentially holds a spell for me, I can also buy it for 5k No big deal. But gobbies aren't that bad, with a good group.

I was worried about that for me, too. I could see me running back and forth between mages and melees, checking my chat log as I went, and ack! Thistle fall down the hooooole!
That said, I'm all for Caedarva Mire.
Hopefully we'll have the Candysense at the time, too!

Date: 2006-09-21 03:05 am (UTC)Aydeewa is okay, but the camp near the Ley Line is fantastic if you can get it. Nothing to aggro, very fast respawns. Just tell your tank not to bother eating food because it will get eaten by the bird.

Date: 2006-09-21 03:35 pm (UTC)I'd totally love to try those but unfortunately we have a NIN tank. If the food-stealing isn't annoying enough, they do a multihit pecking move which I'm told makes NINs cry. We're avoiding them for her. :)

Date: 2006-09-21 06:29 pm (UTC)Puks are really really annoying but good EXP for a few levels. Ercua are good although if you're fighting them on firesday or during fire weather you might want to use fire carol, slower chains but faster than if your tank is dead from incinerate. Jnuns are easy, Imps are really rough on a low level tank since they constantly spam tantaras and disable job abilities and weapon skills. You need someone on top of silena all the time to keep your ninja from getting eaten.

Date: 2006-09-22 12:44 pm (UTC)I lvled 3 jobs to 75 before ToA and I am on my second one at 65 for after, as long as you have at least lvl 2 besieged I prefer the camps I listed there to anywhere else with your current setup with the exception of eruca *
1 of my 75 before ToA is nin and let me tell you every mob has it's own challenges, picking what is easy to tank may very well be picking what has the worst tp moves, or the beefiest hp, or.. I dunno something bad, like torama are really easy with a fast mage but have stupid evasion for their level and hard to chain 5+ while they are still good exp.
Marsh Murre high evasion, the wing cutter spam as described above, and hell dive which is frontal aoe stun, hate em
Monarch Ogrefly have cursed sphere aoe, high att and vemon breath thingy, hate em
Robber Crab high defense, large HP, defense boost, big scissors hurts if it interrupts blinks, constant str down on melee, not bad
Goblin bomb toss in gustav is really bad, in kuftal I think alot of them are thf types so triple attack and high eva, high hp, goblin rush, goblin rush takes 3 shadows or takes 1-2 shadows and does damage and knocks you back, hate em bad
Terror Pugil same as crabs + high att, frontal slow and aqua aoe dmg, hate it
Raptors scythe tail which stuns if it hits, ripper fang which is multi shadows and fire/virus breath, fast att, hate em
Jotunn huge hp, body slam aoe, lightning breath, Em/T triple bats in the way of pulls, hate the camp
Dire Bats evasion down, double attack, high att, large hp, hate em
Diremite Assaulter spinning top aoe, high att, frontal or aoe slow, not too bad to tank but maybe not the most chain friendly mob
Snow Lizard evasion down, silence when brain crush hits, poison breath, double attack, large hp, high att, higher than avg acc, don't like em
Lesser colibri steal food, tp and do pecking flurry and are hard to tank for pld and nin both, but are low hp and weak to melee, they will go down fast, don't like em
Puk aoe/frontal knockback, blink, fast att but very soft, much easier to tank than colibri, not bad
Moving past 60s....
Colibri added negative that they relect magic but still weak to melee, don't like em
Eruca are squishy though first tp being breath is dangerous to the tank, if you have the candy it's worth it exclusively in mt zay. I guess and that's where everyone seems to go but
*Catoblepas is still a good choice with drk type gobbies mixed as needed, if you can get a camp without thf or caster gobbies and mostly giraffes it's very friendly to melee, don't like em all 3
Imp aoe ja stop and silence which can be annoying so your melee might want to sub nin but very very low hp, they die sososo fast, not bad
Jnun also very low hp and very squishy, frontal breath which is bad but not dangerous bad, some aoe stat down moves which are just annoying not dangerous, no personal experience tanking
Most people who go mamook on my server do lv75 TP burns on the true sight mamool leaving the other areas relatively free; if this is the same on yours then:
Spinners kind of suck with aoe slow but aren't as beefy as dragon aery spiders and usually not camped, don't like em
Ziz frontal silence, aoe int down, and I think double attack but are much squishier than kuftal cockatrice and die faster than anything else in that zone, no personal experience
Mamool pre75 are kind of annoying with firespit and their self buff move, but these non true sight ones are decently squishy and also fairly uncamped, don't like em
Puks are exactly the same but higher lvl, can solo them@75
Thickets Mamool same annoyances as Mamook, just dont pull thfs or nins as their evasion will break your chains, don't like em especially drg and blu with their multi hit ws which can one shot a taru but they are such good exp ;;
Hey there's a post character limit, I didn't know that before >_>;;

Date: 2006-09-22 12:46 pm (UTC)Goblin anglers all war types (read: high hp, def bonus, double attack), bad bomb, linky camp
Weapons probably my least favorite thing to tank as ninja ever, nuff said
Statues in moon not enough to chain without stupidstupidstupidhate rdm type weapons, in sky if you can get the circular camp around Celestial Nexus that's still a decent option when other places are crowded but aoe stun + heavy strike is dangerous and as a mage constaly having to erase bind after every chain, scared of getting one shotted but not bad
Demons frontal dmg/stun, high att, high hp, aoe slow, hate em
Taurs def down, doom, double attack, counter attack, die fast but also eat shadows super fast, hate em
Eyes sleep tank, cast all blm spells but can't be silenced, high att, double att, hate em
Diatryma aoe dmg, triple attack, fast, high att, hate almost as much as weapons, too much evasion and hp for anything except a piercing tp burn and even then they pretty much suck unless everything else is super super camped
Rams aoe HP down, frontal petrify, scare the crap out of me every time one gets pulled
Puddings high dmg single target tp which may go through shadows?, blm types very hard to silence, never tanked but it seems like a stunner and a pld is safest
Wamoura..... never tried to melee them but saw a party at them once, defense boost when rolled up, high dmg single target tp, I forget their other tp but hit very slow so maybe good if canonnball is blinkable
Trolls undispellable stoneskin, high dmg single target tp, huge hp, high att, hard to sleep, I see successful tp burns at them but not exp pties and I don't even like to burn them, never tanked
