Today was even less exciting than yesterday, mostly I camped the leather guild and farmed for ice eles. The most exciting parts of the day involved spending lots of money!

I had never seen a picture of an Imperial Tapestry before, but I wanted one. I love love love the style in the new city, and was willing to pay a lot to get a piece of it for my own home. Unfortunately they're never up for sale, but I checked Somepage and saw that I could now make one! So I did! Not counting gold (I used the stack of gold beastcoins I had dug up to cover that), it cost me about 200K, but I did it and didn't even fail the synth! (Leather 94, gold-level gold subcraft.) And here it is! Unfortunately it's not quite as nice as I was hoping it would be (the colors are too dull, everything else in my MH overshadows it), but it's still okay. :)

And why stop spending money there? There were two other things I had been really really wanting for my mog house! (I had been resisting buying anything since I hadn't been in Sandy much, but I finally moved my HP back there and I'm spending almost all my in-city time there.)

The Star Globe sounded like a really, really cool item and the icon (link to Sopmepage) made it appear as though it would really look nice! It totally does not. Not at all. Is that, um, a sucky Easter egg in a poorly made... basket? nest? It's giant and ugly and I took it back out of my house and shipped it off to my Jeuno mule to sell. Blech!

And since I was spending money, I got the last thing I really wanted. (It was rarely up at the AH, but was today so I decided to grab it.) The Shield Plaque! Again, the icon sort of mislead me, but at least it's better than the horrible Star Globe. It's actually sort of nice looking, but it's up too high. See? Doesn't look balanced, it's too high and you can't lower it.

And last house-ish thing: My Galka mannequin wears the BRD AF I don't use, but I never noticed how the "shirt" showed off one's crotch so much. >< Gah, Galka-crotch! I need to buy some pants just to put on him. (Nevermind that my fish are gone. They vanish out of their tanks on a regular basis. Darned things, running around on me. >< )

I sure do love the Glacier. It's so darned pretty! It's a simple beauty, much like in the Canyon (perhaps my most favorite zone in the game). How surprising is it that Meri Mountains is growing on me as a pretty zone, too? I guess spending a half-hour there a day, every day for months lets you see the beauty in what on the surface appears to be a plain zone.

Monday is Eco/Escort, Tuesday is BRD static, and Wednesday is Celery runs, and sometime in this week is helping to camp some NM doggy. Busy week, but since I have little left that I have to do, that should be fine! Yay!

I've been thinking about getting the imperial tapestry (I also thought it would look better) and I was disappointed that it was leathercraft instead of clothcraft... I mean it's a tapestry...!!
Can you do me a favor and check what mogenhancement it gives? I don't think people know yet and it would be kinda quick for you to check (er.. well you would probably have to remove everything else from layout and maybe shuffle items...) but hey maybe you're curious too right?
I had also thought about the star globe in case I ever wanted to remove the light energy from mannequins but then I realized I could just overpower it easily with other elements anyways.. I thought it would be cooler-looking too though, like the globe in whitegates's temple or near the star sybil... maybe it needs to be in windurst or at night or something to shine and be transparent? Or probably not and it just sucks like that hehe.

And unfortunately I think the star globe just plain sucks. It's listed at the Jeuno AH now, I hope some poor sucker buys it fast! Then they can resell it, too.

Well I was asking about mogenhancement, not element. But I guess now somepage lists it (Moghancement: Region), and region is not so useful =P

Aww, I thought the tapestry was better than that ; ; At least now I know I don't have to get one.

I was hoping the Star Globe would be more impressive too, like the stuff up near the top of Heavens Tower - actually I wish it looked like the big thing on the second floor but I don't have any screenshots of it lying around. The globe is still just a globe even if you're in Windurst at any time of day, though.

Meri is awesome with draw-distance plugin but I don't like running windower. ; ; I love the giant crater near the bottom of it, but I'm afraid to go down there without a choco since Waraxe runs around it.

I wish they had furniture in modelviewer. ; ; I'm sure it has .dat files somewhere, but no one bothered to list them yet I guess.

Mine runs fine with plugins, but I get disoriented with all the ones it originally loads up with. D:

That'd be cool! I sort of have my eye on a The Big One (the stuffed fish for your wall), but with a pricetag of a million+, I don't want to risk getting something ugly again...

*laughs* I've had my eye on it, but it costs more than a million! Maybe once I have my money fully recovered from skilling I will, but that'll take a while.

Hm, actually wallspace will be a bigger issue than money. I only have one wall slot left, and my leather 150K item goes on the wall... Maybe I'll sell off one of the other things by then.
