Do you use the Marnanel Joule page that lets you see who has friended/unfriended you each day? If so, you might want to join the comm (marnanel_joule) so you can be informed about downtimes and such, but even better:

If you have a paid account, you can set up a feed so that any changes will show up on your flist each day! No need to even go to the website anymore! Info on how to do it is here. It takes only seconds to do -- the hardest part was figuring out what I wanted to name my feed! (tc_flist_change ftw)

I see an option for "Someone adds me as a friend", but none for defriending. Am I missing it or does it not really cover the same thing the site does?

Huh, you know, I don't know about the defriending thing. I don't know that I've had anyone defriend me since the notify thing has been added. Maybe it doesn't do all that the webpage in question does.

Same! I actually found her personal LJ and asked about it there (I felt like such a stalker!). Turns out the server crashed and burned, and they had to rebuild the whole thing.
