Busy night, but we made a lot of progress, so that's good!
WSNMs: Did the staff ... or was it club? I keep forgetting. c.c Some WHM weapon for Dani in icky Moon! Did katana for Nai in blechy LoO. The two SAMs got theirs a long time back, so left is only mine! Yay!
Mission: Did the Black Coffin one again to catch Nil up. Was a little rough, but we won! Now when Des comes back we can do the last new one. Before the update! For serious! (Hopefully~)
Besieged: Yay! Two in two days, what's the world coming to~? Level 3 trolls. 500 XP pushed my BRD back into the middle of the static-pack, yay! Now maybe I can go back to doing them on DRK and get my next merit point. So close!
Digging on Thistle: Didn't even bother trying to go to the Desert. It was so late it would have been hopeless. However! Meri Mountains were kind to me. Ori ore #3 (all being saved for Chaser's GSing skilling), gold ore, 5 gold beastcoins, and some other stuff.
Digging on Chaser: Almost didn't get done, but came through in the end! Nothing great, no leveling up.
Chocobo chicks continue to be odd. WinterWind got his second stats increase (rec and disc substandard now), while his brother is still poor in everything. c.c
I was bad bad bad bad. Over the past week or so of not skilling gold, I made about 200K gil. Tonight I bought a stack of gold ingots for 250K gil. >< >< >< >< Bad me! I told myself it was for my potential turn in tomorrow (Chaser is just 82 GP short of her apron!), but... if I don't use them tomorrow (and no way I'll use the whole stack for her turn in), then I'll use the rest for skilling. I'm not supposed to be skilling! Bad bad bad me. Make money! No skilling!
I sorted through the crap on all my mules again, looking for stuff to sell. Stupid CoP, making me keep so much capped stuff! Bah.

Date: 2007-03-02 01:21 pm (UTC)And get your CoP missions done! =p My groups are about to pass you! (Your group could prolly tag along with us when we go on these things if ya'll wanted to. =p)

Date: 2007-03-02 07:09 pm (UTC)We got in and out fast, so you were lucky to catch sight of us there. :)
And thanks! We're held up by another problem besides cold feet though: Two of our static members have changed their mind on which characters to take through it. Our original group is on the three paths, but two people (RDM, DRG) have changed to other characters (WHM, NIN/BLU) and so now they have to get them through Promies and such.

Date: 2007-03-02 07:13 pm (UTC)If you need any strategies made for when your groups go through, look me up. =p I do have written out strategies, and I do have experience with handling most jobs everywhere (Except PUP. But I don't think that'll be a problem.)

Date: 2007-03-02 02:41 pm (UTC)And stop hating on CoP so unreasonably. If you ever wanted to do a BCNM or ENM you'd need capped gear too. Capped gear for one job is barely a drop in the bucket. I have capped gear for 5 jobs up to 60 and have an entire mule full of weapons so I can "make" my other jobs acceptable at a moment's notice. What's scary is that I actually use all of that junk on a weekly basis. Usually from helping people, but I also do ENM in 5 of 9(?) arenas every week. Maybe you'd feel better about the capped gear if you started doing some ENMs and getting xp and money drops with it? Hi-pot tanks are so cheap now you could start doing the DRK ENM again. Or maybe set up doing the Hume 3-person ENM with Ead, Nil, and you or something. The JSE Earrings are all hot...
So glad for Lockers on mules, even if it does take extra effort...

Date: 2007-03-02 06:40 pm (UTC)I have my Eisenplatte set on NPC storage as well. I may keep some of my PLD gear though, but not all of it, cause some of it is me replacing NQ with HQ, I'll use the NQ if I need to reuse it.

Date: 2007-03-02 07:06 pm (UTC)CoP kills kittens. CoP is the source of most starvation around the world. CoP is a known carcinogen. CoP is the leading cause of most fatal highway accidents. CoP is responsible for the break up of nine out of ten failed marriages. When a child cries at night, the most likely reason is CoP.
Insert broken record: This is my LJ, I can hate on CoP as "unreasonably" as I like here. Don't like it? Don't read it.

Date: 2007-03-02 07:17 pm (UTC)Two reasons I take people through CoP: So they'll shut up about rings/sea, and because there's a certain fulfillment of watching bad stuff happen. Especially when it manages to work itself out. Maybe I'm just evil. =o

Date: 2007-03-02 07:31 pm (UTC)You're too nice to be evil. You can't fool me! :D
And personally, while I know the rings are nice, I don't care. I don't want them, I don't need them. I don't care about Sea, either. At this point in time I couldn't care less about the storyline, either. The only (only only only only) reason I'll go with my static when they're ready is because it annoys me that we're not finished with it yet. I just want it done so that it'll be done and I never have to think about it ever again.

Date: 2007-03-03 02:00 am (UTC)I've gone at LEAST 9 days so far without STR or END going from Above Average on nothing but carry packages and without having affection problems, think it's time I give up on this one? It's day 73 now so I don't think I have much chance based on what I read a few days ago >.

Date: 2007-03-05 10:28 pm (UTC)Since chocobos auto-retire at day 130, I have no idea why they stop the stat increases halfway through. I suppose you could try to teach them abilities in the second half, but otherwise, what's the point? (Although mine is pretty and I like visiting him, so I'll probably keep him around a while longer.) Even if you used basic care to give balanced stat increases with no decreases, I doubt you could get an uberchocobo (all stats first-class) in 130 days.
