FFXI: Screenshots and stuff

thistlechaserAs my vacation starts this afternoon, this will be the last post for the next week. (Nice timing to have new people come by, huh? /wave BG folks.) Usually while on vacation I have time to keep up with my friends list, so hopefully this year will be the same.
Hm, looking at my screenshots to post today, they're all Besieged related. Raise your hand if that surprises you!
From last night's attack: What the hell are you trying to say, dude?
Midgar has come close to losing the Candysense many times in the past week, but for some reason we keep pulling it out at the end. (I wonder if that fix/nerf/whatever it was from last week(?) changed things?) This was a cool image: A wyvern guarding the Hall from us.
Quite clearly, I *heart* Gulool Ja Ja. That's one of my favorite songs, and it seems to get an okay amount of hate so I use it when I'm trying to kite. What I'd like to know is how I can get hate with one song when 7439575701 melees are hitting the mobs, but when the generals are gone and the mobs are unclaimed, I can spam songs on them and they won't chase me away. Sheesh! Everyone knows BRDs are tastier than Candysenses, follow me!
Thanks to Malum (does he have a LJ?), one of my new hobbies is going outside and watching the Besieged mobs run in. You can hit them, sleep them, anything and they just ignore you!
And lastly, I looooove sleeping people. Heh heh heh.
I used to hate that so much as a melee, but as BRD that's one of the highpoints of the event for me. And, unlike a BLM nuking charmed people, it's actually a "good" thing as it might save someone from getting killed. Or that's my excuse, anyway. (Ignore the red marks, they were for posting this elsewhere.)
Oops! Actually there is one non-Besieged screenshot. Stupid Hot & Cold.
I really want to stop playing, but but but! It's become part of my daily 'work'. Maybe after I get the last chocograph (jungle, might be due to get it today) I'll take a break. I lose money every time I do it (assuming I outpost out, which I usually do).
And lastly, This Day In History: On May 23rd 2004, I got my chocobo license! I also saw the Sea Horror for the first time (but didn't die to it until much later while fishing).
So that's about it, folks. It's going to be really really hard to be away from the game for a week. :/ See you late next Wednesday!
