Two nights in a row of three hours of sleep is a bit rough. So tired. zzzz

Besieged last night wasn't fun in the least. Not nearly enough people for a level 8 and the usual skilling/leeching people wasting space. All generals but one died. I'm totally amazed we won at all, I kept expecting her to be one-shotted.

I had mentioned to barahir_ffxi and other folks that I don't really like music, that in general it does nothing for me. There's an exception! The song in this flash video (link leads to download site) is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I could (and do!) listen to it over and over.

Warning for people who like to avoid Drama: The flash video is that highly amusing one about Ryunoire. I've watched it many times over the past couple years it's been around, but it still makes me snicker every time.

By the way, the flash might not make sense to WoW you. :) Ryu is a "woman" (man RL) who bought major, major gil (not only is it against the rules to buy gil, it's totally honorless), and who has robbed many, many people in-game.

Linkshells often have "banks" (one character who holds money/items for the linkshell), and she's ran off with... two? three? banks now. Amusingly she's now the leader of another linkshell.

She's one of the biggest topics when it comes to Drama on our server.

Oooh, I remember hearing about that at the Guild. There's a couple of guys who play/ed FFXI who were talking about it. You'll find people who play just about any MMO you can name there. XD

And for the record, I'm not just into WoW. If I get into Warhammer beta, I'll most likely be all over that. ;)

What's Warhammer?

Actually, the Guild is store/gamer hangout where you can buy D&D stuff, tabletop game supplies and models, card games, etc. They hold tournaments for various things, have a back room for people to have pen and paper RP sessions or various card games, computers for people to play PC games and MMOs, and whatnot. And they've got a huge grassy lot outside for LARP and NERO, which is a gladiator-style fighting game with padded weapons. It's fun. ^^

And Warhammer is a world really similar to Warcraft, only it's mostly tabletop gaming as opposed to RTS which is what Warcraft started as. Right now they've got a Warhammer MMO in beta stage, it should come out sometime in 2008.

Once upon a time, I was a classical concert violinist. Canon in D was one of my favorites to play (played a few weddings at the request of friends, generally didn't like doing so). Another of my favorites is Bach's Air on the G string (...not that g-string). The youtube version is kinda crappy, apologies for that.

And yes, my two favorite categories of music are classical and death metal.

Oh I know, but I had to give you a hard time.

Last night was really awful for me actually - I came /nin to help aleviate the pain, but /whm probably would have been better. Used about 5 RR earring charges, but the worst was when I died at the end to a Hussar, got up and got smacked down for 700+ damage two seconds later. I barely even got to see my health bar go up to a piddly amount. So not only did I not get exp because I was facedown (though I think you might actually have to do damage and I was only ever hitting for 0, sadly), but I only got about 800 IS.

Let's just say I went to bed one seriously pissed off cat - though Jhed cheered me up and listened to me rant about everything that was annoying me about FFXI lately. Fortunately I didn't go to sleep mad, they say that's a bad thing! Anyway, no more Besieged for me if they aren't in town by 10:30 PTZ. I can't stay up til 1am in the morning for this, I'm not as young and pliable as you are. xD

Yeah, I'd go /WHM for sure. If nothing else, as a low level job it's easier to make points with healing, plus you'll be more help curing than trying to DD.

Oh trust me, I know they were. I was there for less than 2 minutes on white mage, went to go buff Jhed & Zantetsuken, and was getting attacked by fucking bombs. I decided to warp out. There are better ways to get IS AND merits frankly.

Agreed. If you don't like Besieged for Besieged itself, there are lots better and easier ways to make IS/XP. :)
