Oh well, no rice
Jan. 27th, 2003 08:52 pmAfter reading a post by Tersa, I decided to get a crock pot. I hit Amazon, and surprisingly found what looks like a good one for $22.
Amazon has this fun "goldbox special" thing, where they give you special deals on stuff. I was happy to see a rice cooker on sale! An $80 unit for just under $50. I added it to my shopping cart, but couldn't check out because my gift certificates were at home. When I got home I logged on and went to check out... and saw that the total was $30 more. The special price had expired. BAH! I don't want a rice maker bad enough to pay $80 for it.
So I have the crock pot and a book in my shopping cart, but now I'm annoyed and don't feel like going through the checking out process. Let Amazon wait for my money. :P

Date: 2003-01-27 09:35 pm (UTC)I was able to get the discount by removing the item from the cart and finding it again in the Your Discounts area or something. Hope you find it again...
