Out of curiosity.. why did everyone risk preordering it and facing shipping delays? I was at a Target, a Kroger, and a Wal Mart today and the thing was everywhere for $17...

That, too. If I had to go pick it up at the store, I sill might not have it now. I'd keep going 'Okay, I'll go get it in an hour...' 'Okay, I'll get it first thing tomorrow!' and then keep putting it off. I hate stores, hate shopping, hate big mobs of people. :P Yay for having things delivered!

Previous books sold out, plus I didn't want to deal with the crowds.

Of course there's the other side of the coin -- I ordered one of the FFXI expansion packs by mail (CoP I think) and some big storm delayed it for a bunch of people.

There's risk either way. :/
