Last week a couple people told me I was mentioned on some FFXI radio show. Being the paranoid guy that I am, I wanted to track it down and see what was being said about me. Finally they uploaded the ep and I'm listening now. Apparently I'm a level 100 woodworker! Woo!
So now I'm a level 100 bonecrafter who was the first NA to ever HQ a scorp harness -- made millions on them!
The chick who runs Alla says I'm a level 100 woodworker.
My apron says leathercrafting.
You decide! What's my craft?
(The mention of me is a tad embarrassing -- she said I contributed a lot to Alla. That was three years ago when Alla was just about the only game in town! Arg! Don't go repeating it now, I don't want to be associated with that! :/ )
In other FFXI-related news, still no Wings. :/ Sucks to be me. I'm going to go to Gamestop as soon as they open tomorrow, even though everything will probably still be in boxes. Maybe I can bribe the guy to take mine out early. :/ And even just getting it won't be enough -- people said it was taking them 6+ hours to download the updates. *sigh*
Last night the LS got a group of no-Wings-people together to make a bunch of Vellum (item needed to open SCH). We farmed sheep, made leather, Beanie made the gold dust (which somehow comes from brass...), and I made the finished product. Two nice things came of this: 1) It was much better than sitting around in a funk! A fun thing that a bunch of people could help on. 2) Not only did everyone who helped get a stack, but I HQed it enough that we ended up with three extra stacks. We're having a mini-contest to give them away (to LS people only, sorry).
To try to have some good game-thing today, I did the first upgrade on my gobbiebag. Only cost me 100K total (for the hide), I had everything else. Even though the next bag would cost me 300K, I'm semi-pondering it since I made more than double on selling those deathstones than it would cost me to upgrade both now. Only thing that's stopping me is that after Friday there should be lots more hides on the AH, thus price should/might fall.

Date: 2007-11-23 02:02 am (UTC)And I'm really glad Wed worked out so nicely. I had fun having a project to work towards! My plans for WotG is: Unlock Dancer. Unlocked Scholar. Camp whereever I have to camp to do Campaign until I'm sick of it. It's not a bad plan!

Date: 2007-11-25 12:54 am (UTC)Nicely, Dancer and Scholar weren't hard to unlock. I'm not sure at all what unlocked Campaign for me (I think you can do it once you take your nation's pledge... which means doing the first quest/mission/whatever it is).
