FFXI: Numbers!

12 -> 16 -- Amount I soloed PLD tonight. Was amazingly nice and easy soloing, took only three hours. Worms in Old Ronf = love. No one else was XPing and I killed them endlessly with almost no downtime.

6 -> 8 -- Amount I soloed OMG god awful kill me now I hate this job DNC tonight. Using it as PLD's sub, so needed to get it up a little. Took me three hours as well, which sucks. Current Time Ronf was packed with people XPing, I needed to run far and wide to find mobs and there was tons of aggro to avoid/die to. Exactly the XPing I hate.

1,380,000 -- Total amount of guildpoints I've turned in (or will be the total sometime next week; Thistle needs about 30K more, Katerwaul 8K more, then I'll be done forever!). Assuming I remember everything I've gotten.

It's easy to understand! I don't want to XP in the Dunes. :( I can't wrap my head around counting on a Dunes WHM to keep me alive... Going to try to solo at least to 20.

Few people are XPing in the WotG zones. I'm not sure why. By and large the WotG zones are safer than the old-school zones. And they are not crowded at all.

You got five pairs of crafting glasses?? That's insane...

Wings zones rock. I don't know why more parties don't go there.

*laughs* Yes. I got all three on Thistle before I even thought about leveling crafts on mules, then the gold/bone mules needed them as well...

Is there a guide to where to solo at what levels in those WotG zones? That stuff that aggros 75s makes me concerned about safety for jobs at Dunes levels.

Especially if there are good 25-38 BST camps.

Unfortunately not yet, everything's too new. There's aggro to 75 everywhere (sort of), but there are lots of safe spots, too. For Dunes level stuff, you can do it right outside the old cities -- the worms were DC to me at 13-ish, and by 16 are all EP. Bunnies, pugs, etc are DC-EM to me at 16. The aggro-to-75 beastmen (goblins) are way way south of where you'll be XPing, no chance of running into them.

Especially if there are good 25-38 BST camps.

Down in the southern parts of old Ronf are ladybugs and pink birdies, both of which are good for XP parties in the 30s (Jungle levels). Not sure how that matches up to a BST's needs.
