thistlechaserI jinxed myself the other day; I said FFXI was finally keeping me busy and non-bored. Today? Bored the whole day. Bah.
Soloed PLD to 21. At the end tried a EM- and a T- beetle and both were totally do-able, but I wanted to try to party so I set out to Jeuno. Put up my flag. Waited. Waited. Waited. Bah. Eventually I got an invite! Can anyone guess what's missing from this party lineup?
WAR, DRG, DRG, THF, DNC/NIN, and me.
If you guessed healer, give yourself a cookie! The DNC never used Drain Samba on our mob, so basically I was on my own. It was, um, exciting. c.c Somehow I didn't die, though I got down to single digit HP a number of times.
Eventually a PL arrived (...yay...) and the DNC went crazy and things got more interesting. He and I were the only rank 10s, and apparently he was missing merit partying -- while we were fighting one IT+, he'd run off and get another. And another. And another. We had three to five IT+ mobs at all times. x.x The PL would try to keep hate, I'd voke anything that turned from him and he'd take it off me. The DNC died at least six times in an hour, but he seemed not to care.
Somehow our PL got into a fight with another party's PL, and that's when things got bad. They both put up spikes and then would spam-cure the other party. Mob hitting spikes = fun!
So I ended at PLD 23. While I muled off all my PLD stuff, I'm kind of sort of maybe thinking I could solo it more now. (Those EM/T beetles should be about perfect now.) But really I'm just bored. XP is boring. zzz
So once bored with that, I went back to Campaigning. Got merit #9, dropped them all into STR. Need just 18 more merits to get the last two STR increases, but... meh. Campaigning is so boring. zzz
No clue what I'll do tomorrow, other than probably be bored.
