FFXI post time!

Stuff has been happening, but I haven't been posting about FFXI much. Hopefully RL will get less distracting and I'll get back to posting more about it.

Last weekend, this weekend, and at least next weekend my LS has been doing swift belt runs. I got mine today! Yay!





It's amusing how well my TH works, even when I'm not on THF/ or /THF (we joke that mine is the only working TH in the game). First six fights = one single belt dropped, then for each of the next four fights I did my usual warming up of my TH:



And we went 4/4 on belts. :D Four rubs, four belts! Ha! :D

Last big event lately was that I bought an enhancing sword for RDM. As expensive as they are, they should look better! :/ Since I'll be campaigning on RDM from here on out, it seemed like a good investment.

RDM is 73 (all through Campaign since 64), COR is 66. That's about it, I guess! This feels more like a HNM LS post than a me-post -- it's all about stuff I got! :P

Edit: Can anyone tell me what this means? Someone /telled me it out of the blue, then claimed MT.

It's really hard because 玉 can be ball, jewel, money, coin, testicles. It's a wonder Japanese people can figure anything out.

That だし is probably from the verb, "dasu", 出す, which can be take out, get out, put out, show, publish, send... etc etc etc. Pretty much anything to do with going of a sort.

Maybe he fell asleep when some item dropped so didn't lot it properly. That's all I can guess. But that "MT" is probably not just a claim. Sounds pretty real.

Our LS isn't very good at Drama. In fact, we're anti-Drama! When something drops, the arguments don't happen because everyone wants the drop, but because no one wants to take it/would rather someone else get it! And try to get someone to take money for something = a month long 'sending war' of returning the money back and forth through the mail. :P

Of course not, silly. :P Know those HNM LS sites where the whole thing is like:

1/4: Claimed X, Y, Z. Joe got a A, Mike got a B, and Sephrot got a C.

1/5: Claimed Blah blah blah. Person got a whatever, other person got a something.

1/6: Claimed this that and the other thing. Someone got something, someone else got...

I'm really pleased with how the run went. It was feeling blah at the start and then really picked up once we got the Balor. Hopefully next weekend will finish off the project :D

Yeah! The start had me worried (how many weeks would it take at the 1/6 rate?!) but the end totally made up for it.

Looks like we have at least three codexes for the coming week (plus Ket/Jhed are going to try to farm more) so hopefully we'll be able to get one for Cy (and that other guy, if he shows). Not that I don't like spending time with people, but it'll be nice to have Sundays back!

Congratulations on your belt!

My TH was also on form this weekend, sort of. I am now 2/2 on pops, having popped the Mithra NM (I am not even going to try and remember how to spell her name right now) for a Taru friend. The other THF that came is now 0/2 on pops.

She finally got her belt, though. After popping the Mithra twice, we headed to Balor's room, killing the two Taurus mobs along the way. Codex dropped on the second one, and I suggested it go to her. She got it, our tank (who is my favorite person to trade snarky /tells with) popped it for her, and it finally dropped.

He's saying sorry about yesterday, even though he was seeking PT, he fell asleep (and thus didn't reply to invite). tama in this case is slang in game for the little LFG bubble you have when you're LFG (at least I imagine that's where it comes from).
