For those who ordered the piano CD, the reason why people in NA didn't get it when ordered from SE:

"This is because SE shipped out their first shipments of limited first edition CDs to their Japanese population. So those who ordered from playasia and amazon.jp received theirs first. Apparently demand was so high that the products set aside for North America were given to the Japanese to fulfill demand, and it was decided that North America will have to wait for their orders."

There's a number to call about orders, and someone got through and got the story from there. Blah.

Other FFXI foo was uneventful. Campaigned a bit, Besieged, ended up with 6K XP. My merit/day is going to go out the window until the stupid chocobo chick is finished. (I need to spend tons of time doing races for chocobucks, on top of chick stuff.)

PS: Watching an egg 40 times is really boring. (40 watches per day for 4 days = it'll hatch with max affection.)

RP: Yay RP! Not one scene but two! And oddly, while I had thought an insane (broken) Thistle would make for more interesting RP, he was mostly stable tonight and that was lots better.

TV: Why didn't Hell's Kitchen finish tonight? Gah! We have to wait a whole week to find out who wins! But yay, new shows starting soon! Big Brother, woo! And Kitchen Nightmare!

Not by choice! You need to watch the egg 40 times a day for 4 days to have it born thinking of you as its parent. The higher the affection, the better training will work, so you need to have it at 'parent' from the moment it hatches. Sucks. :/

Do you have an estimate on how many training tokens you will use? Also what is your plan on build? I see a lot of x/x/c/b but I've not seen any info about what makes receptivity good. I was thinking higher discernment would be good.

You ask me these things as if you thought I actually knew what I was doing! :P I have nooooooo clue. I've never even used/bought/seen a training token before! I'm scrambling to learn as much as I can now, but there's not enough info around online anymore.

My current racing bird is first class in both physicals, poor in both mentals. That's 100% fail. I'd like my new one to be, um, second-to-best (outstanding? impressive?) in both physicals, and hopefully average in both mentals. I'm not really sure how to accomplish that quite yet.

I hate the though that I'm going to put two months of work into this and going to mess up because I'm not sure how to go about getting what I want to do...

Doh! >_< From what I read it takes 6-7 80 buck tokens to raise a full level of any one stat. Sounds like a good plan at the center though, good luck! I'm still pretending like I won't probably start a new bird for this next week.

The other thing to consider with tokens is that you can only buy them if your nation is first or second in the racing standings. In the last seven or eight months, I have never once seen Sandy in anything but last, so they might not be an option for me at all. :/

Maybe if my bird is good at winning, I can race first thing Sunday morning (after the tally) and if I win it might bump Sandy high enough to buy the tokens...

I'm still pretending like I won't probably start a new bird for this next week.

First place is only for tokens for retired birds, you can buy the ones for currently-being-raised birds at any time^^

XD I watch hell's kitchen and kitchen nightmares! Something about an angry chef yelling at other people is fun to watch. Piano CD... hmmm I might get that eventually. You must be crazy to watch an egg 40 times!!! :O

God, it figures. So much for fulfilling orders as "first in, first out", rather than "us first". Ah well... I can wait. As long as I still get what I paid for, the first edition with the in-game item, it doesn't matter much.

I wonder how often that happens for US companies to do the same thing for non-US purchases. Surely we don't hear it in the news, but I wonder if citizens of other countries would curse say... Apple if Apple pulled their new iPhone off the foreign markets in favor of the US market.

Please tell me those who ordered will still get their in-game item. I didn't pre-order myself, but I'd still be very upset if NA/EU were denied because it wasn't really the "limited first edition" since they decided to hand out to JP first.
