Silly brain (RL, FFXI)

Last night I had a dream. I forget what it was about, but that wasn't the important part of it. In it I kept hitting my F12 key (my FFXI screenshot key) and kept saying to myself "When I post about my dream tomorrow, I'll be able to include pictures of it! Then everyone will know what I'm talking about!" I was taking some darned good screenshots, and when I first woke up I was all excited to post... until I realized there weren't really any screenshots. Heehee.

In FFXI land, I may end up shooting myself during Summerfest. It's another "spam emotes at NPCs" one. That's all well and good, except you have to use the /dance emotes. Worst Fricking Things ever added to FFXI. I never use them, I don't want to use them, I don't want to see them, now the whole damned city is going to be /dancing for weeks. I'm going to have to /dance. Grrrrrr.

I really think they could have come up with something more original than ripping of Sailor Moon, honestly. If they have to tap that as a source, I think they're starting to run out of ideas.

I'm just happy it's not a "find a level 70+ Galka SCH" or "find five other Sandy males and make a party, then get capped at level 1 and go to this aggro place and don't any of you die!".

My only hope for these events anymore is "I hope it's not too annoying to do". Thus I love these /emote events... except /dancing. c.c

To me, the idea they put behind it is meaningless. I'll just spam my /emotes at the right times, get my items, then ignore the event for the rest of the time. The story behind it doesn't matter to me.

That's kind of funny. Galka usually make me twitch, but their /dances are the best of all the races. They're the only ones I don't mind seeing. Every other race just flails all over the place.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that the /dance emotes are the most pointless thing ever added to the game.

That said, it's rather amusing to see 20-30 people dancing in sync >.>; thought I'll be avoiding the event moogle for a few weeks all the same.

I hate even running my mules by the NPCs, soooo spammy. Blech.

Well, at least I got my items, now I can ignore it for the rest of the time!
