*head hurts* Wow. I hope his wife leaves him, takes the poor child, and gets the name changed. Poor poor kid. Stupid idiot man. Gah!

I can understand supporting a political group.

I can understand someone supporting a political group that doesn't agree with what I do.

But really, this was just straight up retarded. Like naming your kid stinky because they smell when they take a crap as a child...Some parents needs to have their children taken away before their stupidity can corrupt them. Ava Grace was a good name too >.>

I think the real problem here isn't the choice of name for the kid. I mean, would anyone complain if they named their son Barack Obama? Heck, I've seen some really terrible names like Precious Jewels. Or even Moon Unit Zappa is pretty weird.

What's really disgusting on this is he, "secretly named...ignoring the name...he and his wife had picked earlier." I mean, if the wife had agreed to Sarah McCain Palin everything would be gravy (aside from several folks disliking the choice). The fact that he lied to her and did it on his own without discussing it is the real outrage here.

Whether the kid's name gets changed or not, I hope she divorces the jerk. You don't make major life decisions without planning as a couple. Otherwise the next major thing she finds might be that he sold their house or cashed in their retirement fund for some "investment". Again, all without consulting or letting her know till it was too late.

I'd complain about all three of those. Give the kid a neutral ("normal") name and they can change it to something funkier when they're old enough to decide.

Personally, if my parents had named me: "Moon Unit Zappa" I probably would have quit school in grade 6 out of sheer embarrassment. Side note, my last name is Moon, tis a good last name.
