Two questions for people!

1) For folks with a Wii: Not counting that exercise/weight loss "game", would you consider the other games to be actual exercise? Like the tennis game, do you move around a lot? I know a couple people have Animal Crossing for Wii, I can't see how that would be much exercise?

I was wondering if getting the system and some games would be an easy way to get at least some exercise -- maybe not the same as running or bicycling, but some? Or is it mostly just arm movement?

2) Arg! I got some emails from Paypal thanking me for sending payments through them. However, I've not used Paypal in months. Arg! One was for a RapidShare account, the other for web hosting. The purchases were made today, and Paypal already reversed the hosting one (which was the more expensive one, $70), but my worry is how this happened. My password and personal info wasn't changed. Google didn't tell me much, but anyone know how people could have made charges through Paypal as me? I changed my password again, but I'm worried how they got in to begin with. Is it a security issue on my end or Paypal's? (Virus scan and spyware scans of my machine show nothing.)

Should I be worried? :/

<3 everyone!

Well no, Animal Crossing isn't much exercise. You can cast your rod/other tools by swinging the Wiimote if you want to, but it's not marketed as a GET UP AND MOVE game! Like the original, it's more of a HEY THIS IS SOMEWHAT RELAXING game.

The sports games are best played standing up, so it keeps you on your feet. The boxing game has you throwing punches so there's more forceful arm movement there. Mostly yeah, though. It's just arm movement. The Wii Fit is the way to go for exercise. I've been trying to put in at least 30 minutes a day and the running game especially can tire me out!

Agreed! I also found that surprisingly the Star Wars game (although quite terrible) tired me out a lot! lots of shaking things around trying to get the poor light sabre to bash stuff :/

I quite like Wii Fit and think it's pretty good; I like the yoga and aerobic exercises, esp. the hula hoops :D

Wii Boxing (in the Wii Sports game that comes with the Wii) will give you a light workout, but there's not really any structure to it. You're just swinging your arms wildly when you play it until the match ends, which can be long or short depending on how you do. You'll work up a sweat, and your arms will probably hurt the next day, though.

Wii Fit's the only thing that'd give you anything close to real "exercise" but some specialists say it's not that great and you shouldn't expect to lose weight. Probably not terrible for keeping in shape, though.

Did you have either payment thingy set to automatically charge you? It could have been through a phishing site (Some make REALLY convincing copies of sites. I always type in URLs if someone tells me I need to change my password.) too, but I don't really know.

Or if you had ever accessed it on another computer.

I don't have any advice over the paypal.... I can tell you that I got wii elbow by playing too much tennis. :) hehe. It cleared up in a week, but it's a fun game. Honestly, there is movement but noting beats real exercise. It's better than doing nothing, though!

I know playing Legend of Zelda on the Wii tired me out a bit. I found it really hard not to get right into the game when they give me a controller and say: "Swing to swing". It all kind of goes down hill from there. And Wii boxing caused me 3 days of my arms feeling like dead weight after playing it so much on launch day >

Your paypal acct could have been compromised thru no fault of your own. Paypal's databases might've been hacked, and paypal never reported it. It has happened before, certainly.

Don't worry too much about the paypal thing... Paypal is a favorite spoof of spammers. Ignore them, delete them, and move on.
