Yay! Amazing that I got them both in one morning after so many hours over multiple days of farming.

Goth gloves look sooooo good! The feet look better, but...

I spent ~7 hours total trying to farm the gothic boots today, but didn't get them. Went to BD when I had a couple hours to kill early in the morning, then went back and later spent the whole afternoon/evening there. Bah.

The boots look amazingly great, but I can't find a screenshot of them so you'll have to trust me on that.

Other than that, didn't do much. Zeni farming and trying to get Damask's fame up (he's too low to get the safe expansions quests, bah) -- Bastok is in last place so I tried actually doing Windy quests instead, but that was too annoying so I'll just wait until he can turn in cornettes.

I found a pair of the Gothic Gauntlets not too long ago as well...but lost 'em to "you cannot obtain the pair of Gothic Gauntlets" somehow or other. I'm baffled by what caused it too, because my inventory was not full at the time. Maybe I'll run across them again. Not really sure what I'd use them for at this point, other than Looking Cool.

Eek! And yeah, they look cool. Attack-wise their stats aren't too far off my thick +1 hands, but there's the enm on them that I wouldn't want for anything but solo/farming...

Any idea on the proc rate of the Ice Spikes effect on them is? I'm mage-ignorant, so apologies. The paralyze effect on them probably wouldn't show up all that much, I'm guessing?

Some guy on BG said spikes went off 4 hits out of 77, but I saw a much higher rate than that. It "felt" like 10% (for what feelings are worth). I don't use a parser though, so I couldn't give an exact number.

I'm not sure what job that guy was on, but as DRK I get hit a hell of a lot, even when farming TW-- mobs. Maybe that's why it felt higher, because I was hit more thus it had more of a chance of going off.

Either way, no matter what the percent rate was, it was darned fun getting free ice spikes.

That was harder to tell, since I killed them in a couple hits. I'd guess it was very roughly the same amount that spell-ice spikes cause paralyze? Maybe a bit less.
