World of Fantasy XI: Rise of the Treasured Wings of the Litch King

I logged on today with about an hour and a half to kill before a LS event, so I decided to solo BLU. I was @3K to 48. By the time I had to leave, I was 48. After the event we prepped for CoP mission, but connection issues kept one of our members offline, so we had to skip. By the time I had all my meds and capped stuff muled away, I had about an hour to kill, so I went out and soloed BLU. I stayed a half-hour longer than I had wanted, dinged 49.

3K in an hour and a half.
7K in an hour and a half. (The timing was perfect so I could get an extra training page in.)

1K free XP the first outing, 3K free the second. Soloing XP. At 47-49.

This is really too easy. :/ I hate to complain, but what the heck happened to FFXI? I feel like I'm playing WoW. :/

One more level before I can start my AF. I could solo it (and more!) easily tomorrow, if I didn't have Dynamis.

I don't know. There's something nice to be said about being able to solo exp until a higher level. It still depends on your job though, and BLU is one of the better jobs at soloing. I've gotten to 41 PUP now without joining a single party, it's really relaxing to just burn off one exp band and call it quits without worrying about other humans.

Yeah, after I made the post, I did wonder how job-related it was. Something like WHM wouldn't be able to...

And I agree that it's nice, it's just... not FFXI. I don't know. I guess I'll get used to it (and I sure will take advantage of it), it's just too easy. :/ There's no satisfaction in leveling up when it's just handed to you.

Being able to solo-level when I want to is one of WoW's best features, in my opinion.

Yeah, I did enjoy that on WoW. It's just on FFXI it's not supposed to be easy, but it's so easy that there's no satisfaction in it. I feel good when I work for something, if I level up because XP is just handed to me on a plate... where's the enjoyment of that?

(But then, I've played FFXI for this long so we know I've got to be a masochist. :P )

I've been soloing RDM recently (needed as sub for BLM), and have had a blast doing so with RDM/PUP. Why /PUP, you say? Free flash, shield bash, Erase, etc. He's a handy little bugger, even at half level due to subbing. Still does around 50% of the damage I do, which is a huge boost...I know, like RDM even needs something to make it better at soloing, but hey, its fun running around as a RDM with a puppet

Yeah, I've heard really good things about /PUP, even at higher levels. Free, unlimited cure 4s? That's got to come in handy!
