BLU: 56. Woo lots of AF! I actually got a mostly normal pretty good party this morning. Half Japanese, and they talked a lot, but since it was in Japanese I could just ignore it. Unfortunately we had two NA members other than me, and man they embarrassed me. Why are so many NA players so amazingly immature? These two were /slapping each other each time one did something the other didn't like, insulting each other on /p, etc. I could hardly resist apologizing for them. :/ Anyway, the XP was good. My goal had been to reach 54 today, but we got to 55 and I campaigned for the 10K to 56.

I need a skillup party sooooooooo badly. :/ I've almost never been in an un-synched party yet. Anyone know if you wack on (or cast on) the walls during a Campaign battle, will the Campaign mobs just ignore you? It's hard to resist the free XP in Campaign, but I need to keep my blue magic skill as close to capped as possible, otherwise moves will be harder to learn.

Damask got his cloth up to 76. Two more levels of spider webs -> rainbow thread. Blah.

I spent way too long tonight working on a new sig! I have no idea what it means, but I like silly ones. I almost feel like I should add a leash to this... I'm getting tired of that note, but a BG mod threatened me if I didn't keep it on all my sigs. :P As she's also one of the only women who has ever hit on me, I keep it on there for her. (Edit: Man, FFXI messes up my machine's gamma so badly. Is the sig too dark? Too hard to read? Without FFXI running it looks too dark, with it runningthe lighting looks perfect...)

Monday: CoP. (Plus server downtime, bah.)
Tuesday: Dynamis.
Wednesday: ZNMs.

No more BLU XPing until late in the week, plus I need to catch Shera on the MUX for a scene. Poor Thistle finally has to admit to them that he can't read. (Shera: "We'll train you to be the navigator!" Thistle: "Uh............ *blushes endlessly*".)

I guess I like silly, because I really like that sig. :3

So you have to keep the "Isladar" note on all your sigs?

Thanks!

She likes the little notepad with the tape. Unfortunately I was so rushed last night that I just copied it off my last sig instead of making it new, and you can tell (or at least I can). I need to just make the note/tape and save it in its own file so I can slap it onto any future sigs! One day...

I'm pretty certain you can skill up on fortifications, and campaign mobs will not aggro you as long as you don't have tags on. The caveat is that forts are effectively around level 50, so they won't give skill ups past whatever your skill would cap at 50. From there you can continue skilling up on regular campaign mobs, always sans tags of course.

Yeah, unfortunately the walls don't go up that high. If I can't catch Besiegeds soon, I'll have to look at skilling on mobs without tags. (I just hope those aren't too high!)

Thistle as a navigator. That's almost as bad as asking Cydori to navigate, though at least she can read. (Her adoptive grandmother and her taru friends' parents taught her.)

Your sig is amusing. It makes me think Thistle has wandered off somewhere, completely lost, and is concentrating so much on figuring out where he's supposed to be going that he's not noticing a dinosaur behind him. Which, come to think of it, is how Cydori would get in that sort of situation.

Why must they have so much in common? ;p

Ha ha, isn't that a funny idea? Though I suppose navigating must be easier than just trying to walk somewhere with a map in your hands. You'd have books and... um... maps... and stuff to do it with!

Ha ha, yep! I was kind of thinking about adding a "Boo!" or something to it, but I like letting viewers making that leap themselves. :D

The text on the sig is a tad difficult to read. Maybe if you used a thick black outline/glow instead of a drop shadow? Bolding would help, too. Thin and busy fonts like Papyrus (all the notching!) on complex backgrounds can be tough to focus on.

Yeah, I'm not happy with the text choice. It had been the last text I used (on a plain, solid background, so it had been fine), and it was too late last night to look for my usual sig one (one day I'll remember the name of it!).

I might work on it again tonight.

Thanks! :)
