Mon- eh, Tuesday morning blahs

If all had gone well last night, I would have had 4.5 hours of solid sleep. Not enough, but not so little I'd want to slit my wrists. However, instead of sleeping I had serious stomach troubles, and was in the (freezing cold) bathroom for about half that time. This morning I still feel like crap (something of a pun there...). I made my morning oatmeal, and I'm hungry in some way, but my stomach is currently protesting /water/ so I might just skip it.

Blah.

Nothing like being at work, when a call might come in and keep you on the phone for who knows how long, and have stomach troubles that prompt dashes to the bathroom. ('Dash' is sort of a laugh, it'd be more like a stagger. Legs are shaky and weak, and my head is edging towards dizzy.)

I deserve this though. A couple months ago I ate Burger King and had much the same reaction. I vowed never to go back. I needed lunch yesterday, so I gave them a grudging second chance. Big mistake. Somehow that sort of makes all this easier, that it's my fault. I should have known better, I *did* know better, and I'm paying for not listening to what I knew.

So cold, so achy, so shivery. Hush, stomach, all this will soon pass and things will go back to normal.

See, that's why it's called Murder King. Their food kills you. ;)

Being serious, if you really had that only two times, both directly after eating at Burger King, it is very likely that your stomach doesn't like one of their ingredients. Could even be an allergy. A friend of mine has that, he can't eat anything made of grain or get serious stomach troubles. Problem: he's vegetarian. Not much left he can eat, then... =/

Up until a couple years ago, I used to eat there on a regular basis (once a week or so). Then I stopped (trying to avoid fast food as much as I can), but just went back to it once that time a couple months ago...

I suspect that place is just dirty or the food is old or something, but I'm not going to experiment and go back to try to confirm that!

I won't eat at Burger King. You can't make me. Everything there, from the burgers to the fries, even to the drinks and the air in the restaurant itself, has the same, palpable Taint. It's a pervasive corruption that permeates everything in and from the building, and it turns my stomach. The idea of someone saying 'Wanna go to Burger King?' is tantamount to them asking 'Hey, wanna pay money to get clubbed in the gut by a hobo?' And it's going to earn you the same look from me.
