It's kind of amusing how well Thistle and Squall get along together. I haven't played 7 or 8 or whatever game he comes from so I couldn't have guessed how Squall joining the crew would work out, but it's really quite funny. Thistle, when in non-brainwashed state, is perky and outgoing, while Squall is "grumpy", heehee. It's all just rather cute. Tonight they fondly threw carrots at each other's head! :D
In FFXI land, yay! I learned five more spells thanks to LS folks, including the one that I really wanted: Diamondhide (AoE Stoneskin). I'd feel gimp if I didn't have that one by the time I was of level to use it. I still need 9 more I need help on before 71, but I have time. :D
And man, I had thought level synch was the answer to all party problems? Nope. My BLU still can't get an invite. I get one maybe every two weeks (seeking four days a week minimum, 5 hours two of those days, 12 hours the other two). Thankfully Campaign battles go well. I'm @4K to 65. 66 is the level I'm really waiting for, since then I can go /WHM and have access to reraise. Campaign is really rough and scary without RR -- its depressing to have to wait and hope that everyone won't run off and leave you for dead.

Date: 2009-01-30 09:11 am (UTC)I think FFVIII is still worth playing after all these years, although your mileage may vary. The junction system is really not for everyone. (I love it, but there are those who really hate it.)

Date: 2009-01-31 11:49 am (UTC)I also loved the junction system, it was so easy to abuse it's not even funny. >.> People who think infinite KotR is cheap obviously haven't seen 100% sleep/death attacks. XD
