I'm so bad about going to bed!

I should be in bed, but instead I'm up putting the last finishing touches on Thistle's MUX wiki page. Yay! The first draft was only up for, what, four or fives months?

I deleted out a lot of the background, tightened up a lot of the writing, and added stuff about now being crew on the Shera. Oh, and most important, I finally did the relationship links. :P Hopefully I'll be better about keeping it up to date now that it's totally done!

WoW was semi-meh. My mind wasn't on it and quests were annoying me all night. Almost 64. I need to skill up fishing so I can do it in the Outlands. Got ten levels tonight (in 45 minutes, blah, it's slowing down) = ending at 307. 350 is my goal before I go back to serious XPing.

Yesterday: FFXI, we took on Shen. I was looking forward to it because it's new, so yay! But the fight was a lot easier than I had expected, boo. Still, I died twice (only other person who died was the main tank, also twice), so: loldrk! I really like DRK/SAM, but it's not all that good for keeping me alive. I'll go /NIN next time.

...I need more to write about! Don't wanna go to bed. Oh well, work's early in the morning.

Bear in mind that you don't have to fish in a level-appropriate area to gain skill. You could fish in Orgrimmar and still gain skill at the same rate as out in the wilds. The only advantage to fishing out in the wilds is that you can actually catch useful/sellable fish. ;)

You might want to look at a mod called "Fishing Ace!" which you can downloaded here: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6830-FishingAce.html. It does some nice things like give you double-right-click anywhere on the screen to cast your line, automatic adjustment of the sound settings when you equip your fishing pole so that you can hear the bobber sounds more clearly, etc.

Yeah, that amused/shocked me when I first learned that I could hit max fishing skill without ever leaving town.

The only advantage to fishing out in the wilds is that you can actually catch useful/sellable fish. ;)

And that it's prettier to look at! And that you might find those fishing pools that have handy treasures~! (That's actually what prompted me to go back to skilling, I found a treasure pool but didn't have the skill to fish there.)

Heh, Thistle's younger than I realized. And taller. I always had him pegged for being in his early 20's and about 5'6". What I've done in FFXI is decide how old Cydori would have been when she started adventuring, then age her for every year I've been playing. She's almost 26 now; if I'd frozen her age at the start, she'd be 21.

Yeah, Nai (who I used to FFXI RP with a lot) was surprised at how young he was, too.

The hight could be wrong! I suck at picking heights/weights for characters. I just looked up average and made him a couple inches shorter.

Yeah, average for a Caucasian guy is 5'10", and I tend to perceive "noticeably shorter than average" as something like 3-4 inches. That's just my personal height estimation scale, though. It's also skewed by the fact that I'm 5'8" and close to a fair amount of guys I know. (I compensate for being a taller than average woman by dating a guy who's 6'3". Any kids we have would be great at basketball if they didn't inherit our complete lack of athletic ability. ;p)

Oh really? That's not good. This morning I changed some setting on adult content (the choices were 'does not apply', 'sometimes talks about adult content', 'X-rated', I picked the middle one). I'll have to find it and unset it! Blah.
