On Sunday I did more WoW PvP. Four hours, on top of the three hours on Saturday. Overdose! Unfortunately it wasn't much fun at all, but mostly because the other people were some of the worst MMO folks I've ever encountered.

Can someone explain how, on an MMO, that people can argue who is a nerd? (Though I suppose I could be thankful that they were saying nerd instead of gay...)

Person #1: You're a nerd! Your armor sucks!
Person #2: No! You're a nerd! All you do is instances and XP, you know nothing about PvP!

Hours of that, on top of hours of endless people berating and belittling everyone else on the raid group chat channel. How many times did I hear "Name, you just cost us the whole entire battle by doing X!" Where X could be something as minor as fighting on a road or killing an NPC or lord knows what else.

On top of that, seven hours of all the same battlefield and we had one single win. Yes, I supposedly have fun either way, but endless losing makes it hard to see the point in trying anymore.

FFXI: It's hard to believe I quit just over a month ago. Feels like forever ago. I'm missing the stupidest things, too. Know those stairs in Ordelle's Caves that are so impossible to run up? Why in the world would I be missing doing that? Bah.

TV: WAHHHH! I thought there were six seasons of House out now, but it's only five! Which means I'm almost caught up! I'm early in the season (on ep 6 now), but this seems like the weakest season thus far. Or maybe it's just that Thirteen sucks enough to ruin the whole season.

I've been trying to figure out what to try next, so I grabbed Merlin's first season to check that out.

I've had a headache for two days now, too. Stupid sinuses, stop being hurting!

Go easy on the Alterac Valley, you'll burn yourself out :) Maybe you should try one of the other battlegrounds? I enjoyed Arathi Basin the most I think.

Why don't you like Thirteen?

Yeah, I don't have any reason to spam any one area (I haven't even glanced at rewards) so I might as well spread myself out!

For some reason, everything about her annoys me. How she looks, her voice, her whole being sick character element. She seems to add nothing other than the chance for girl-on-girl action (which in any other case I'd enjoy). I really love the two guys, I wish I could like her as well.

How can you find her looks annoying? She has such lovely eyes. With those eyes, I would forgive anything...

Okay, maybe I'm incapable of looking at her objectively.

...But I will try.

Thirteen works for me because in the early goings, she was just that much better than Amber in her CTB mode. It's not even that I don't like Amber's CTB mode, I just think it was poorly developed. So Thirteen was clearly the more interesting female characters. And I kinda like the fact everyone calls her Thirteen.

Of course, everything changed with Amber's return. From that point on, Amber was definitely the stronger character. And surprisingly, possibly the more likable character.

That might be my favorite element of her character!

Agreed on all that. I didn't overly like Amber during the "interviews", but why did we need a female character at all? Unfortunately my favorite guy was dropped early on (the older fellow who wasn't a real doctor, I loved him!). ...well, I guess all TV shows need a female main character for guys to drool over and women to identify with, blah.

And Amber! I couldn't believe I was coming to like her, and the ep where she died? Wilson's Heart, I think it was? GAH. I was crying at work over it! Poor, poor, poor Wilson. *sniffles*

I like the older guy who wasn't a real doctor as well. I wish he could have stayed longer.

And yeah, I didn't care for Amber at all during the interviews. But nearing the end of the season she was my favorite character outside of House. She was so (surprisingly!) good for Wilson. And just knowing why she feels she *needs* to be a CTB adds so much to her character.

That was so strange and yet so good.

And I just finished the ep where Thirteen and Foreman kissed and I went all ewwwww! He's far from my favorite character, but still! Don't kiss that! Blech!

How can you see her eyes with those horrible, horrible eyebrows of hers? Her eyebrows are the only things I can see when I look at her face! These are not natural eyebrows (http://images.teamsugar.com/files/users/13/138856/44_2007/13_1.jpg)! *twitch*

Arg! When will I learn! I googled to make sure I had Foreman's name spelled correctly (I tend to drop the E by mistake) and spoiled myself! Kutner kills himself? Noooooo. D: He's my favorite! Bah!

You know the real story behind that, right? The actor wanted to pursue a career in politics instead. There was a fair amount of news coverage.

I missed that episode first time around, unfortunately. Now I already know what's going to happen...

Ack! I hope you learned the details before I told you! I assumed you had seen them all.

That was my sentiment as well. I like Kutner and all, but working in the white house is an incredible honor, and I can't blame him for taking that opportunity. As much as I enjoy House, M.D., it's still just a TV show.

There's a quest you can get from the Bridadier Generals (I think) that is to get a Mark from each of the BGs for a big honor boost, that might be a fun way to see more varied PVP. There's also BG Daily quests worth gold and extra honor.

As to the rewards they are generally based on X Honor or X Honor + Y Marks from Z BG (or BGs).

I'm slowly building a resilience set for my Elemental (Pew! Pew! Lightning bolt smash face!) spec. =) This will be the fourth set I've put together - 1 for Enhancement (Slash! Chop! Hack! Lightning bolt smash face!), one for Elemental, one for Enhance for PVP, and working on the PVP Ele set.

Good thing I invested in 4 Gigantique Bags (22 slot vanity bag in Shattrath from Harris Pilton) -- I need the damn space!

Also -- that sort of adolescent ePeen drivel and rudeness is a big turn off for me RE: PVP. It seems a lot more prevalent in that arena, pun working as intended. ;)

Ah yes! I did that this weekend. I had had one mark from most areas thanks to doing the cooking thing in them (put a feast down in each battlefield).

Oooh, is that where they come from? I had wondered!

Yup! Haris Pilton is in the World's End tavern by the end of the bar. =)

For the low low price of 1200G each you can get your own 22 slot glam-bag from her. Of course there are craftable bags with 22 slots from Wrath that are far less expensive, but I got mine pre Wrath!

104 total bag slots at present. =) But I am too FFXI trained -- I carry so much stuff I rarely have more than 20-30 available.

I don't have space issues anymore (comes from not doing anything anymore!) but I'd still like the bag for that reason.

If you really want to see people complaining about other players being nerds, you should take a look at the official WoW boards.

Person #1: *something simple that's asked for*
Person #2: OMG QQ NERDRAGE

I made a post on the WoW boards once. It was a simple request, to put in a completed quest log. Someone yelled at me, saying that it would make the game "easy mode."

Everyone else that posted in that thread thought it was a brilliant idea.

Seriously the mind makes it real! So if you get aggravated by anything your body is more likely to have a reaction to it. It also means that if something is already wrong then being aggravated won't necessarily help it. So the bad Sunday PvP probably just made things worse/last longer.

Probably why I'm in such good health cause I live in my own crazy world where I am king and anytime anyone tries to get to me it just bounces off (mostly).
