And acronyms FTW!

*rubs his head* I can't put into words how poorly leveling through PvP is going. But, since I'm LJ posting about it, I guess I should try! The least time it has taken me to get one level is six hours. I'm up to eight hours today and still need almost 10%. My worst was thirteen hours for one level. Thirteen hours. One level.

I was holding out hope because multiple people told me the 61-70 AV bracket was a reverse of the 51-60 one -- in other words, you'd win and win fast. That's anything but true in this case. I win maybe one match in twenty... which is as bad as last bracket. Matches usually take 40+ minutes, too.

Worse, unlike last bracket, I can't go to AB or WSG (*twitch*) because all the Horde people are in AV, so our teams are always outnumbered.

I did fifteen BGs tonight. One single win. *rubs head*

68 for cold weather flying and that's it. I'm 62 now, close to 63, so I may or may not be able to do that before I go insane or uninstall WoW.

Seriously, this is more painful than the stuff I used to do on FFXI.

Edit: Got 63 and my last piece of epic 60 stuff! Woot!

Wait...did you say "GO" insane? ^_^V

I haven't XPd in BGs, hell, I've not run many -- it seems to me that the XP wouldn't be very good though, the quests are so easy, and they offer nicer and nicer rewards, especially from Outland forward.

Ha ha, okay, maybe 'go' wasn't right! And I hate questing, so this seemed like a better option -- and for a while it was! Just not now. :/

The quests are actually pretty fun once you get to Outland. =) And the ones in Northrend are very fun. They've really removed most of the grindy feel from the game, I bet you'd be far less frustrated with questing than this has been for you lastely. =)

See, my problem is FFXI. I still have this horrible, tight feeling in my stomach when I quest because I know at some point I'm going to die. It's the stupidest thing, but even on my 80 hunter I feel sick to my stomach when out in the wild in fear I might die. I have my pet! I have Feigned Death! Not to mention I can kill things well! My rogue has fewer death-escapes than the hunter and is lower level...

Dying feels like such a loss (loss as in 'Game over! You lose! Ha ha!'). My head knows that it doesn't matter at all in WoW (I have 8K gold, my armor can all fall off me and I wouldn't even come close to running out of money to fix it!), but I just feel so sick to my stomach every time... Tensed from neck to knees, feeling like I'm about to be jumped and stabbed RL =/= fun. :P

I was really hoping I'd get over this, but it's been more than a year now... I don't get what's wrong with my brain!

I rant about hating questing... but I'm starting to think this is just what I tell myself, because my actions certainly say the opposite. I'm now working on my 4th level 80, and I'm having little to no trouble with it. I'm so strange.

Outland isn't so bad, I guess, but I still don't much like it. I hit 58, get to Outland, and then go through 10 levels of, "IHATETHISZONEMUSTGETOUT!!" so I race through Hellfire, hit Nagrand (which I actually like) and know both the zones so well they pretty much fly past. Then, at 68 I go straight to Howling Fjord in Northrend.

I LOVE Northrend. The zones are beautiful, the questlines are like playing out stories, and the rewards are great. For some reason 60-80 just flies past. Questing in Northrend is actually fun -- I just toss some music on in the background (sometimes I listen to the in-game music, it's actually very pretty) and grind away.

As for BGs, your battlegroup is probably like mine. For some reason Horde just cannot, for the life of them, ever win. It's awful. It's very demoralizing, especially since my newest alt booking her way towards 80 is a little dwarf pally... and the BGs I've been in, we've roflstomped Horde. I feel guilty about it, and decided to not BG anymore, I can't stand beating up on "my own faction."

Sometimes it's fun... but eh. I definitely wouldn't want to try leveling like that. I think it would crush my desire to play the game...

I kind of wondered that about myself. I say I hate it, and I do!, but then why am I leveling another character? And will I do another after this one? On one hand, there's the 'but what else is there to do in the game?' element, but on the other... if I don't like it, go read a book or something!

Outland isn't so bad, I guess, but I still don't much like it. I hit 58, get to Outland, and then go through 10 levels of, "IHATETHISZONEMUSTGETOUT!!" so I race through Hellfire, hit Nagrand (which I actually like)

I either love or hate Outlands. I LOVE Nagrand. I could happily live there! I like the mushroom zone a lot, too. I HATE HATE HATE Hellfire and ... um... the one where all the Netherdrake quests are, the fel-filled one. I really don't like the... hell, I need to look these names up. Okay, I hate Shadowmoon Valley and Netherstorm, I dislike Blade's Edge Mountains only for those damned Fel Cannons. I love Nagrand and Zangarmarsh. And I always forget Terokkar Forest exists.

I LOVE Northrend.

I couldn't agree more. Even with my 'I hate questing!' I'm thinking about questing there once I hit 68. I could die happy in Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Grizzly Hills. Zul'Drak is the only place I don't like... but there needs to be an ugly zone to make the other zones all the nicer.

For some reason Horde just cannot, for the life of them, ever win. It's awful. It's very demoralizing

And embarrassing! This is how AV goes every time: The BG starts out 40 horde to 11 alliance. We're winning. Halfway point hits and some other AV ends, so 30 alliance joins. They come back and kick our ass six ways to Sunday.

Today at lunchtime I had the best BGs! WSG was the daily (ugh), so I went in. First match: 5 horde to 1 alliance. o.O Second match: 8 to 1! Finally, numbers we could win with! I got more WSG wins in one hour than I had my whole entire previous time going there. :P

Maybe your BG is just that way. I know that on my server the horde outnumbers alliance so that might help out my battlegroup be better but sounds like you're getting crushed by those alliance scum.

Yeah... Bah! Often times we'd start the match 40-20, which is yay! But about halfway in the other 20 alliance would show up and kick our asses. :(
