I suspect I may be recommending this series every time I see a new ep. *cough* It's just that good!
This week we started out with a wonderful band I hadn't heard of before: Flogging Molly! Odd, odd name, but cool sound (American Celtic). - The Worst Day Since Yesterday opened the show, and man wasn't it a fitting start for the ep! (And fit for the series as a whole!)
I'm always happy to see a same-sex couple featured in a show, though I do have to be depressed that it's always two women (OMG, two men as a couple would be wrong! Evil! A sin!). But man, same-sex-yay'ness aside, the two women were so sweet and so in love and so cute together! Eee!
Every ep my love for Rush grows. He's so morally challenged! Is he a good guy? Is he a bad? Is he neither because neither would be what's best for him 100% of the time? (Hint hint: #3.)
Like Battlestar Galactica had been, SG:U works because it's so darned dark that one little bright spot seems all the brighter -- how could just a couple-second moment involving a tiny little non-plotty thing be so heartwarming? The sapling! It grew! Eeeee!
I noticed it's following BSG's format as well. Ep starts with a plot bit, then a bit of credits, then another plot bit, then more of the weekly credits/intro before the ep finally rolls.
Really, really, really loving this show. It's so dark and satisfying, with interesting characters and just wow. :D It's my current favorite show on TV, by far.
