Vampires Suck was the worst movie I've seen in a long time. I had thought it would be a spoof of vampires in general, perhaps heavy on the Twilight jokes, but it was all four Twilight movies shrunk down into two hours. Notice the lack of the use of the word 'funny' in that last sentence.

I strongly suspect that people who liked the Twilight movies would like Vampires Suck. It was more a (somewhat silly) retelling of the movies than mocking it in any real way. What jokes there were (Jacob was a were-chihuahua) were amazingly stupid and predicable. I think I snickered twice during the whole two hours. Mostly I was bored and annoyed.

Sucky: Alas, another failed cooking attempt! I followed this "recipe". A comment on All Recipes said you could use crescent roll dough instead, and since I had some of that I wanted to be rid of, I substituted it in.

Lesson learned: Garlic salt cannot be substituted for garlic powder. *cough* I had been certain I had powder, but when I discovered I didn't I thought some garlic salt would work. Nope.

Note it doesn't say how much dried oregano. I used too much. Generally I under-spice things, so I used a little more than usual, but it was way too much.

At least, unlike other failed recipes, I didn't waste too much money on this one. $3 for the bag of cheese and $3 for the bag of pepperoni, that's it.

Sucking: [livejournal.com profile] itsbacon found quite an amusing link! (Yes, you get credit for this, dear. I don't want it!) 10 things you didn't know about orgasm is really interesting. The speaker is skilled and amusing. And it includes images of fisting a pig. Again, credit for finding this goes to [livejournal.com profile] itsbacon. :D ...You know, there's some irony that a video containing pig fisting was found by someone with bacon in his name. ;)

Well, they both taste garlicy and I don't mind salty things...

I underestimated just how salty it would be!

i like twilight. and i would not watch vampires rule suck. i was tempted briefly, but the trailers looked only mildly entertaining at most. since the trailers usually have the best parts, i decided to pass.

recipe: why didn't you use real garlic instead of garlic powder? you can either crush it with a garlic crusher if you want to spread it evenly, or if you have a mortar & pestle, you can make aioli with it (garlic + olive oil; it should have a consistency of mayo if you do it right) & smear it . or if you have time (like a day for it to infuse), then you can just smash or crush garlic & put it in olive oil & use that flavored oil to brush the dough. (to be honest, my broken aiolis end up this way.)

Yeah, the commercials for the movie had amused me, so I had hoped the whole thing would... WRONG!

I had no garlic on hand! The last head I bought must have been old, each clove had a sprout growing in it. c.c Tossed it out!

you don't have to throw it out if it has a sprout growing on it. you can either plant it & grow it. or sometimes i just chop it up all into small pieces, and hope no one notices that the garlic is a little green. hasn't killed anyone yet!

Oh, ha! It's good to know I could have still used it! I should have thought about planting it, I bet that would have been interesting!

The last time I went to see a "parody" movie was Epic Movie. In fact, I believe Vampires Suck and Epic Movie were made by the same people. I didn't laugh at one bit of Epic Movie.

My co-worker talked about going to see Vampires Suck one weekend. The following Monday, his first words were "Don't waste money on Vampires Suck."
