I had a coupon for a free McDonald's oatmeal, so I figured I'd try it out. This is easily the worst oatmeal I've eaten in my life. Paste would taste better and would have a better texture.

I think there was a miscommunication at the drive through, the lady might have been saying to wait and I drove off. There's no brown sugar in it, and no packet of it to use myself (not sure if there's supposed to be, but I do know there's somehow a brown sugar option).

I had high hopes when I opened the container. It's full of fruit. Green and red apple bits, lots of raisins, and what must be dried cranberries. It smelled sort of okay, mostly like nothing though.

Tasting it... ugh. The texture is AWFUL. I used to eat oatmeal on a regular basis, so it's not just that I'm unfamiliar with it. This stuff is seriously not worth eating.

260 calories, 18 grams of sugar. I'm not sure how it tastes so bad for that many calories and sugar, but it tastes like something you'd use to seal a hole in your wall. Into the trash it goes! I've been having such bad luck with breakfast lately...

I'm happy I can help people keep from making the same mistake I did!

Maybe it's your McD's? I had one in Beaufort, NC, and rather liked it. It certainly wasn't as greasy and heavy as everything else on their menu.

Could be! This one was the worst email I've ever had. Gluey, thick, flavorless.

I'm not upset I didn't like it, if I don't go there for oatmeal, I won't be tempted to get other things!

Good thought!

My husband has a taste for their Bacon-Egg-and-Cheese biscuits, so if we're up early enough (which isn't often, heh), he opts for breakfast at Mickey-D's. I usually get an Egg McMuffin, but I tried the oatmeal once and like it a lot better.

The worst oatmeal I've ever had was Quaker's "Weight Control" "maple and brown sugar". Had some horrible sweetener in it that not only tasted awful but left a hideous artificial taste in my mouth for HOURS afterwards. :P Even after drinking OJ and water and brushing my teeth! :P :P

Oh yes, I tried that weight control one, too. Tossed out the box after trying it once!

I love the sausage biscuit there (no egg!), but man, it's 400 calories for just one little one! I try to resist as much as I can.

I had high hopes when I saw the ads! The pictures look so good, it looks so tasty and healthy, and it's so encouraging to see places that are famous for being super-unhealthy (not to mention super-hard for vegetarians to find anything to eat at) finally put something better on the menu. I'm disappointed but not particularly surprised.

To be fair, I think I'm the only negative review I've seen. I've not read many of them, but the two I saw were positive. Maybe my McDonalds just doesn't make it well. I was sent another coupon for a free one, so I might try a different one and see.
