Darned impressive!

The Jurassic Park theme done by a Japanese guitar club. I had no idea guitars could make sounds like these do! Almost violin-like.

Jurassic Park was such a good movie, I still watch it any and every time I catch it on TV.

I sure am getting to be a grumpy old person though. One of the youtube comments was "Brings back all the childhood memories.". Childhood memories? Childhood?! The movie came out in 1993! That's just about yesterday! Gah! You young people are just way too young.

I think it's funny you posted this. I was just watching the Jurassic Park RiffTrax last night and commented to Alex that, "Man. That was SUCH a good movie! Scared the crap outta me when I was a kid." And then we got to talking about our raptor nightmares and stuff.

There was something about the animatronics and the sparse (but really well-placed) CGI that is just so much scarier than half the stuff done today.

It wasn't the raptors that ever scared me, it was those spitting ones, the ones that killed that guy in the jeep/SUV/whatever it was. I wore glasses at the time, so the idea of being so easily blinded and attacked by something I couldn't see... Eek!

I was freaked out by the idea that the stupid raptors could open doors and stuff. That kitchen scene terrified me. They are coming... we cannot get out. They are coming!

What really annoys me about getting older and talking to young people, is not that their childhood memories seem recent to me, it's that _my_ childhood memories must seem to them like ancient stuff from the 1950's seems to me :-)
