It's 10 PM, do you know where your AC is?

Nearly 10, and it's 78 in my apartment. *melts* Winter's coming back soon, right? What? It's seven months away? D: Yesterday I had the heat on, today I have the AC on! (Just for a few minutes to cool things off before bed.)

On a nicer note, I keep reading this little comic over and over and it makes me happier every time! Eee love! So sweet!

And lastly, my cat is trying to eat my sofa. I've been suspecting this for a while, but I finally caught her chewing on it today. If one day I come home to find no sofa and yet a sofa-shaped cat, I'll know what happened. (But more seriously, it's leather, so I guess she likes the taste? She finds a fold near the top of it and chewchewchews away at it. I correct her when I'm home, but she's at home alone a lot... I hope she doesn't damage it or make herself sick or something.)

78? I'm SO going to come live with you. Don't worry, I'll bring my own rug to sleep on!

Also, that comic is great. I'm going to save it and read it when I feel a bit down, I think.

It's going to be in the mid-80s today and tomorrow. D: D: D: Cold is better!

And yeah, that comic rocks for that kind of thing!

Still pretty cold in the Glorious Commonwealth of Virginia as well. Not that I'm complaining. Summers here are pretty awful.

Funny comic! Though it would be impossible for me to be sexier than I think ;)

Ha ha! Bring it! I've got a crazy giant umbrella and am unafraid to use it! :D

Hello little girl. Is that an umbrella or are you happy to see me?

Wait? Can't it be both? It's a very happy umbrella. Rainbow colors and everything.

*looks over at kitty chewed and scratched armchairs*
If you value your couch put a slipcover over it now, before it gets too late! My den furniture is beyond help, ha.

I have been told that putting foil wrap over problem areas on the furniture will help keep the cats away, but I can't exactly wrap entire armchairs in that stuff.

Now that would be amusing, covering it with foil! :D

Covering the areas with double-sided tape also helps, cats hate things that stick to them.

Of course, the question here is "Does a couch covered in foil and double-sided tape look worse than a couch with scratches on it?"

I think that might be the question to ask! So long as it doesn't make her sick, I suppose she can keep gnawing on it.

Better yet, just make a new couch out of tin foil.

I've made a broiler pan out of foil, so why not!

I am in no way saying that sofa leather is healthy for your cat, but generally, if they can swallow it and it's not sharp, it'll come out one end or the other without much mishap on the cat's part.

Also, you may keep your heat in CA. Summer will show up here in Maryland all too soon, and the god awful humidity, and no damn wind, with it.

Hee! That's good to know. She hasn't actually gotten through the leather to the padding yet (hopefully she never will!), but if she does I'll slap a patch or foil or something else onto it to hopefully keep her from eating it. Even if it might pass through her, I'd rather she stick to cat food!

Luckily we rarely get humidity here. Since we get rain only three months out of the year (our winter), there's no chance for it to happen. The opposite, really, we're painfully dry during the summer. (Still better than humidity though!)
